In a long-rumored move, D.C. United has traded the rights to Perry Kitchen to the LA Galaxy for a combination of general allocation money and targeted allocation money. According to Jeff Carlisle of ESPN, it is $100K of general allocation money and $200K of targeted allocation money, which is a very good haul for a player who is not in D.

The Scotland version of The Sun is reporting that former D.C. United (and current United States) midfielder Perry Kitchen is about to sign for Heart of Midlothian F.C., aka Hearts, in Premier League of Scotland. Kitchen, who turned 24 yesterday and played in the United States' national team camp in January, is expected join the club tomorrow with an official announcement.
