EPL Talk 20 November @ 09:20 AM EST
Since Thierry Henry's handball on Wednesday, the former Arsenal striker's reaction has gone from
arrogance, to indifference to being contrite. From where I sit, this simply proves that Henry is a
Public Relations driven phony. He's cultivated an image for over a decade in conjunction with his
handlers and now sees the possibility it can all come undone.

LONDON (AP) -- David Beckham earned nearly $16.5 million from personal sponsorship deals during
his first full season with the Galaxy.
The England midfielder's latest accounts show that his marketability was unaffected by his move
from Real Madrid to the United States, where soccer is less popular.

This week Pepsi introduced an iPhone application called "Amp Up Before You Score" to promote its
competitor to the slew of energy drinks. Its purpose? To give you alleged insider information to
boost you powers of seduction, as well as give you a platform to brag about which women you managed
to get naked.

CR9 has unlimited earning potential on and off the pitch according to experts who know this
stuff.
Said experts say Beckham is falling out of his endorsement prime (remember all the Pepsi ads?) due
to his age and MLS. Apparently the only thing holding Ronny back is a special lady.
Ronaldo however lacks the seemingly stable family life which Beckham, who now plays for
Los Angeles Galaxy, enjoys and is often accused of not being a team player, two factors which could
decrease his "likeability" factor and appeal to advertisers.

This morning, Lyon announced on their official website that they had terminated their contract
with Noel Soccer and by extension, with Umbro as well (Noel Soccer is the French supplier of
Umbro). I guess this news isn't too surprising, given that Umbro was bought by Nike almost
two years ago.

I sure can pick them. Since I am originally from Omaha, NE, and I recently graduated college
from Wesleyan University in central Connecticut, I haven't had too many opportunities to watch the
USA play in person over the years. In fact, I've had only two. The first was in 2005, when a
half-strength USA lost 1-2 to a less-than-full-strength England side (it was a Kieran Richardson
brace that did it, if that tells you anything).

Can we stop bitching about Beckham, and all his selfishness?
Don't people realize that Beckham is on a mission from God – to become the most iconic
athlete, or maybe even the most iconic icon, in the world ... ever?
Jesus' iconic status has always been hampered by the way different religions produced varying
depictions of him.

After 10 years of commercial wedded bliss, the money-spinning David Beckham & Pepsi marriage is
finally over. The man's had basically a film career with all his fizzy drink ads, playing cowboys
and surfers and gladiators. And sometimes even a footballer. Much cash has been pocketed and many
cans of pop sold, but nothing ever lasts [.

With the recent revelation that Barclays may be rethinking it's sponsorship of the English Premier
League, it's time to start imagining a future without them. If we're honest, most football fans
won't care. Because the only people who ever called it the Barclays Premier League were those who
were contractually obliged to.

there is more scope for him to promote his own products.
