Barcelona [2 : 2] Real Madrid
No. of Yellow Cards : 9
No. Of Red Cards : 1
Somewhere beneath this 'Blaugrana Happiness Pile' lies Pedro, who
scored the opening goal in Barca's 2-2 draw with Real Madrid at the Nou Camp last night.
Today, Real Madrid played as it should have in the first leg. The first half began so brightly
for Real with Gonzalo Higuain the main culprit for not finishing those chances. Gerard Pique was
caught napping and the Argentinian striker should have done much, much better. Minutes later, Pinto
was barely able to foil Higuain whose timing was less than impeccable.
A Clasico which lived up to its name? But of course.
And Cristiano was seen off the ball throwing what should now be one of his toddler tantrums? But
of course.
It's not one of his finest, in fact it'd have a hard time cracking his top five, but it's nice
to know that even as he seems to be maturing, some things will just never change.

Even after Aleandre Pato'o "saw a gap and ran at it" (great quote sometimes football's just a
simple game), the Champions League opening night provided no further letdown, only building with
steam across the continent. Late drama was seemingly a common thread, both in Catalonia and
Germany.
BBC Sport Thiago Silva secures draw for AC Milan at Barcelona.
AC Milan showed in 25 seconds tonight at the Nou Camp what Man Utd haven't figured out
in two Champions League Finals, and that is if you attack Barcelona's defense right up the middle,
you will create chances. Brazilian forward Alexandre Pato tore through the the center back
pairing of Mascherano and Brusquets like a knife through butter to give the Italians a 1-0
lead.
Cristiano Ronaldo should feel rightly aggrieved because Victor Valdes did grab his leg but the
penalty was not given. In addition, Valdes could have been red carded.
Before the Madrid fans get their knickers in a twist Barca were equally hard done by the
referee, Teixeira Vitienes who failed to spot or chose to ignore Marcelo's blatant foul on Pedro in
the box.
Today there are two transfer stories involving Spurs that haven't surfaced much to date and when
you consider the type of fees involved, maybe it isn't surprising.

hot seat, Barcelona are the best team he has ever had to face.
Sir Alex Ferguson's men were thoroughly outplayed and outclassed by a mesmeric Barcelona side
who eventually triumphed 3-1 courtesy of goals from Pedro, Messi and a superb curling effort by
David Villa.
After finishing up the match report of Barcelona's 3-1 win over Manchester United in the Champions
League final, I realized that this amazing victory deserves two posts. And so, because my "Best
Images from..." compilations (Manchester City's FA Cup win and Real Madrid's Copa del Rey win) were
so popular, I've decided to make one for this Barcelona victory.
The final of the Champions League at Wembley Stadium is almost upon us. The iconic twin towers
of the old Wembley may be gone but the arch of the latest, rejuvenated and reinvigorated Wembley
Stadium is all set to become just as famous.
Saturday 28th May 2011 will the biggest day in the new stadiums life to date.
May be time to have a rethink on the old career.

FC Barcelona has been mind-blowing this season, the team equalled Real Madrid's 15 consecutive
league victories which set back in the 60's, they're front-runners in all competitions,
masterfully dominating matches and scoring dozens of goals.
There are some things in life which are just so predictable. Night and Day, death and
taxes, Halley's Comet, Celtic or Rangers winning the SPL and a full moon. Add to that list
Barcelona or Real Madrid winning La Liga.
