Liverpool have announced via their official website that Hull City's offer for Daniel Ayala has
been accepted.
The Spaniard has been given permission to discuss personal terms with The Tigers, with Pearson
likely to aim to conclude the deal before Saturday's trip to Ipswich Town.
City had initially bit £500,000 for Ayala and with Liverpool holding out for a seven figure sum, a
compromise has now been reached to bring in a player who will challenge James Chester and Jack
Hobbs for a starting place.
It was revealed at the start of July that the Tigers were closing on a deal for Gulacsi, who has
yet to make a first-team appearance at Liverpool.
He has, however, enjoyed loan spells at Hereford United and Tranmere Rovers, and is tipped to be
the Tigers' first choice this season.
The Championship club also have former Bristol City goalkeeper Adriano Basso on trial and Hull's
head of football operations Adam Pearson expects to secure a deal for Gulacsi.
Gulacsi Set to Join Hull on Loan
Liverpool goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi is believed to be on the verge of a season-long loan move to
Hull City. The Hungarian youngster, who has yet to make a first-team appearance for the Reds has
been promised the accolade of first-team football – something which is likely to sway his
decision to move to the KC Stadium.
I'm starting out the morning on the mellow. You may not believe me but Josh T. Pearson is an old
college buddy of mine. Or more than likely you have no idea who Josh is. That's understandable
since he's always been the kind of musician who can't get arrested at home in the states but plays
festivals with Pulp and Elbow and the like in Europe.
Three weeks ago, I reported back on Hull City's attempts to accommodate a large squad while
launching their bid for a speedy return to Premland. A lot has occurred since. While yesterday's
opponents Reading have been out shopping in Eastleigh, Hereford and Swindon, the East Riding club
have been considerably more ambitious.
