In the search for its first coach for the new USL-1 Tampa Bay Rowdies, the ownership in Tampa
dipped into one of the storied families in European football when they hired Paul Dalglish, the son
of former Liverpool and Scotland great Kenny Dalglish.
"This sport is my obsession," said Dalglish, who gets his first pro head coaching job.

My Twitter evolution is gradual and slow. While most people manage to grab hundreds of followers by
following random morons and being awesome people I've probably been way too cautions. I first
followed the blogs I liked, and then when I felt like blogs were just a big dick contest I tried to
just follow the people who didn't have blogs and just followed me because they probably liked my

Blackpool FC is an English Football team currently competing in The Championship. Some fans of
Blackpool reached out to fans of the Dynamo to form an informal partnership between fans, based
mostly on the two teams having a similar color scheme.

The 2008 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup begins tomorrow for MLS teams. Eight qualifiers will take on
eight lower league clubs in what is always one of the single most exciting days of the season. Last
year was not the greatest year for MLS in the tournament, as only 3/8 teams advanced. One of those
3, the Rapids, then lost 5-0 in the quarterfinals to Seattle.

In the wake of Dynamo's much-reported-upon scoring woes, some have lamented the loss of former
striking stars Alejandro Moreno, Nate Jaqua, Joseph Ngwenya and the man above, Paul Dalglish.
My take on these guys is simple:
1. Moreno for Ngwenya deal was genius last year and helped Dynamo earn the title.
