So Sir Alex has come out after the match and made comments directed towards Luis Suarez that he
thinks he is a disgrace and should never play for our club again.
"He's a disgrace to Liverpool Football Club, that certain player should not be allowed to play
for Liverpool again."
I personally think Sir Alex is a Hypocrite with a very short memory of his own "Honourable"
club.
Sportsmail strikes again. Though we may have to start giving the masked man/woman/thing a little
more credit on the back of breaking the Willian negotiations last week. This time around, the
Daily Mail's journo in the field, with a little help from the Mirror,
suggests Chelsea are ready to make key moves for both Paul Pogba and Gregory van der Wiel.
Arsenal fans who argue that Arsene Wenger should not be sacked can only come up with one reason
"He's our most successful manager ever". Others might also point to his unearthing of talents like
Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira. The theme here? It's all stuff from an increasingly long time
ago.
The Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira, who was the captain of the famous Invincibles and scored the
penalty that won Arsenal their last trophy in 2005, has been speaking about why he decided to work
for Man City rather than Arsenal when he retired from playing last summer. He was generally reviled
by Arsenal fans when [.
The Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby was hailed as the "new Patrick Vieira" when he arrived at Arsenal
five years ago, but he immediately broke an ankle which it would appear has never fully healed. He
has never made more than 20 appearances for the Gunners in a season, and has made more comebacks
than Frank [.
Good morning,
it's interesting to read this morning Arsene Wenger talking about the financial might of Man
City, and then how those comments are interpreted across the media. Obviously we've taken quite a
bit of City's money over the last few seasons and that has led many to think that Arsenal are open
and willing to sell any player to them provided the price is right.
Manchester United and Arsenal, from 1997 to 2005, undoubtedly engaged in the era-defining
rivalry in English football. In order to be classified as a great sporting rivalry the protagonists
must move beyond the feudalistic; the edge and the aggro, and be ultimately characterised by
supreme competition and a bountiful supply of dramatic and heart-stopping moments.

The French midfielder Abou Diaby has been with Arsenal for five years now, and he came with high
hopes of being the "next Patrick Vieira" but things have never gone right for him since breaking
his ankle just four months after his arrival. Since then he has never managed more than 20 games in

The young one putting one over the old figure
The last of the Carling Cup quarterfinal fixtures were completed yesterday and surprisingly,
Crystal Palace advanced to the next stage. Which leaves Manchester City, Liverpool and Cardiff as
the other teams capable of winning this competition. The draw sees the Premier League sides face
off against each other and whoever comes out victorious from that clash will probably win this
cup.
There are Arsenal legends. And then again there are proper Arsenal legends. For most of us
Patrick Vieira sits comfortably in the second catergory. From Shite Hart Lane to (Very) Old
Trafford he was a steam engine of a player. Strength, passion, craft, guile, he had the lot and
regularly delievered these qualities as a red and white colossus.
When it comes to players who played a defensive role in Arsenal's midfield, Arsenal fans will
remember the likes of Patrick Vieira and Emmanuel Petit for their excellent ability in controlling
the Arsenal midfield. The Romford Pele is fondly remembered too for his 'lungs of steel'. ... Alex
Song, though, plays a rather different role [.
As Arsenal captain, even your hair has to be neat
Two things got me to write this topic today. First, I'm at the moment in the middle of reading
Alex Flynn's "Arsènal The Making of a Modern Superclub" and I'm currently at the chapter which
speaks about the behaviour of a certain William Gallas after the 2-2 draw at Birmingham.
An Ode to Ole - originally posted on Soccerlens.com
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, also known as the baby-faced assassin, is one of the ultimate legends in
Manchester United folklore. He was snapped up from Molde in 1996, the club he now manages, for a
bargain basement purchase of just £1.5 million.
Having yet to play a part for Arsenal this season, Jack Wilshere, looks set to make things up
for his club, although not anytime soon but the England international midfielder promised the fans
they will see much of him in the future as Wilshere pledged his loyalty to the club.
Answering a question from the media about his future with the London outfit, Wilshere
convincingly stated that he has no plan to play for any other clubs aside from his current one.
It's not often I take much from Arsene Wenger's quotes, but something stuck with me in his
post-match interview on Saturday.
After a comprehensive 3-0 win over West Brom continued Arsenal's recent revival, the boss said:
"When you see where we came from and how much we have suffered that is a good lesson for us to keep
working hard.
Arsenal youngster Jack Wilshere has pledged to remain with the Gunners for life. The forward who
is out with an ankle injury also explained how much he hoped to part of the new wave of Arsenal
players along with team mates Aaron Ramsey and Kieran Gibbs who will take the club to greater
heights.
It is clearly evident that during recent months the red and white armoury has come under intense
pressure, with many even questioning whether "Arsene Wenger is the right man for Arsenal Football
Club?".
A few years ago such a question would have been responded with laughter, yet today critics and
many Arsenal fans find themselves pondering on the very thought of Arsenals greatest manager being
replaced.
Today all Gooners must do their duty. They must recall the greatness of the past and temporarily
cast aside the divisions that recently have weakened the Arsenal Faith. If you feel that you can't
then let me try to get you to understand why you support this club. What ever your age, I want you
to recall the Arsenal Legends for whom a day like this was the day to sweat blood for the
cause.
I take you back to the 94/95 season. Arsenal finished 12th in the Premier League. 6 points
fewer, and they would have been relegated. It was a season riddled with scandal, with George Graham
being sacked for accepting bribes and Paul Merson famously breaking down and admitting his cocaine
and alcohol addiction.
For a long time now, the media have portrayed us as a club in crisis. Over the last few years,
Arsene Wenger's methods which were once admired and revered have been questioned and put under
scrutiny. We, as Arsenal fans are very loyal to Wenger as we don't – or can't – forget all the
great work he's done in the past.
What is worse? Admitting that the professional players lack the level of focus and application
to apply simple football theory of defending, or implementing a new defensive routine with a back
four formation that is itself new in compostion from game to game? Which ever the case, what I have
long predicted in countless blogs, is that Arsene Wenger's legacy will be permanently damaged if he
fails to take account of a few basic home truths.
It's finally here, the Champions League, of course! And just a few hours
before kickoff, here's a really innovative ad by Heineken, featuring some great footballers in the
setting of an Opera house. The Champions League theme song itself goes off into its own opera

Seeing as though they're sponsoring this year's competition, this here is Heineken's new
'Legendary Football' Champions League viral campaign starring Clarence Seedorf, Ruud van
Nistelrooy, Patrick Vieira, Gigi Buffon and Rene Adler and if any of it makes sense to you then you
truly are a better man than I.
The transfer window is over and Cesc Fabregas has finally gone. As the dust settles and the pain
dulls and subsides, I feel it fitting to both celebrate and lament the end of his Arsenal career.
Hopefully now we can move on as we close the book on another chapter in Arsenal's history. This is
my final farewell to our former captain.

Jack Wilshere reckons Arsenal must win a trophy this season to prove they are the next best
thing to Champions League winners Barcelona. Gunners midfielder reckons it is "unthinkable" that
Arsene Wenger's outfit don't finish in the Premier League top four despite a torrid start to the
campaign.
By David Chalmers, writing from Clackmannanshire, Scotland
With the hype surrounding ‘Deadline Day' dying down, I thought I'd draw up a list of the
smartest transfer deals ever made. Though subjective, this is based mostly on players that cost
very little money who turned into major stars for their club.
The drubbing of Arsenal at Old Trafford this Sunday made for some uncomfortable viewing, even as
a life-long Manchester United fan.
When it comes to United v Arsenal we are used to seeing two of the best sides in the world
taking to the field and at the end of the season both sides are usually there or thereabouts when
it comes to the title picture.

Arsène Wenger will be feeling very sad tonight. Not just the sadness you feel when you're
disappointed with yourself, but a certain sadness trailed by the desperation and helplessness of
knowing you're in a corner and you may well have put yourself there.

Alex Livesey/Getty Images(Bleacher Report)Nearly two months of constant controversy and speculation
surrounding Samir Nasri has finally come to a close in the past few days.
With the French International finally getting his move away from London, he has since been in the
news for talking poorly of his old clubs' fans, but he has praised Arsene Wenger.
It is being reported this morning that the Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is very keen on bringing
the young Portugese midfielder Danilo Pereira to Anfield, but the youngster, who has been

Samir Nasri has astonishingly claimed that he turned down the Champions to sign for Manchester
City, which is interesting, considering United didn't bid for the player.
"I did not see myself leaving England. The question arose of whether to go to United or
City," said Nasri. "But I prefer to make history with a club, rather than be just one
player among the rest.
Annoyance development executive We told you last month that we suspected that new Manchester City
football development executive Patrick Vieira's job description reads as follows: Wind up Arsenal
at any given opportunity. So, consider the latest evidence. Samir Nasri signs for City. Who is the
blame immediately pinned to?
Samir Nasri ending all the fuss and buzz about his future after officially signing a four years
deal with Manchester City for an amount reportedly around 24 million pound, joining his colleague,
Gael Clichy, who already joined the Eastands earlier.
Speaking in his first interview as a City player, Nasri revealed that he had an input from
Patrick Vierra, which convinced him in choosing Roberto Mancini's side, as the multimillionaire
club have a huge project and have more chance to win more titles in the future.
Parma midfielder Danilo Pereira has emerged as a surprise summer transfer target for both Arsenal
and Liverpool according to talkSPORT.
The talented 19-year-old starred for Portugal in the recent Under-20 World Cup, and was nominated
for the 'Golden Ball' award after a series of scintillating performances for the tournament's
runners-up.
