Another international break has ended finally giving United the opportunity to avenge the 1-0
defeat against Chelsea. Willing victims, Everton, line up at Old Trafford in the day's late
kick-off, with Sir Alex Ferguson's touchline ban not set to begin until after the match; he will
surely demand a victory before he takes his seat in the stands.

This past week(s) we've have a couple united boys playing for their countries, attempting to
qualify for South Africa. While its not directly "United Related", there's no way I cannot bring up
the most blatant handball since Maradonna's "Hand of God".
So a quick roundup of the scores and the United personnel playing before I get to more on to
what is going to be the single most discussed play in recent times:
France 1 1 Ireland (2-1 Aggregate)
France : Patrice Evra
Ireland : John O'Shea, Darren Gibson
Portugal 1 B&H (2-0 Aggregate)
Portugal : Nani
Okay, so the handball (seen/touch/heard) 'round the world.

Take your pick: a meaningless friendly on European soil, or fighting for a World Cup spot today.
As far as that goes, American soccer fans can't complain about their situation. Thanks to some
gutsy results in the final two games of the tournament, they aren't in Montevideo, with a tough
Uruguay squad looking to deal a knockout blow.

Ok. ... Getting sleepy in the press conference. This isn't good. ... Maybe if I just cross my
arms and tilt my head back, no one will know I'm slowly losing consciousness. ... Yeah. I think
this is working. I look perfectly normal like this. ... Oh no.

Its all pretty confusing but it seems that Raymond Domenech was complaining that they were
really playing the English B squad. Or some bowdlerized version which of course even if untrue is
used to motivate your players. Which is what got Richard Dunne all bent out of shape. He had been
using Domenech as comedy material before the match.

With the international break nearly over, the excitement of the Premier League will be back with us
and Manchester United will be looking to get back to winning ways against Everton at Old Trafford

Following the Chelsea defeat I began thinking about what the best Manchester United eleven
actually is?

The first legs of the European World Cup play-offs took place yesterday (Saturday) and Russia,
Portugal and France all take slender advantages into their second legs.
Portugal managed to beat Bosnia-Herzegovina 1-0 in Lisbon in their first leg. With Cristiano
Ronaldo ruled out of the tie through injury the Portuguese had to rely on the likes of Simao
Sabrosa, Liedson and Deco for their creative spark but all three were guilt of below-par
performances.

More talk from Patrice Evra which makes you love him that little bit more.
"To play for Manchester United demands huge sacrifices," said Evra. "This is a club
of hard workers. You are there to work hard, there are no glass jewels or paste trinkets here. At
United you are carrying the weight of the club's history.

Ahead of the upcoming important

Chelsea this Sunday,
Man United defender
Patrice Evra has said that he never loses against Chelsea. Over
recent season's Evra has had one or two controversial moments at Stamford Bridge. The main one was

Patrice Evra has confessed that he is on the receiving end of some piss taking after he rinsed
his English United team-mates for failing to qualify for Euro 2008.
With Darren Fletcher's Scotland missing out on the World Cup, Evra has revealed how Fletch tells
him they will be spending the summer together, after France fail to beat Ireland in the
qualifier.

Manchester United and France left-back Patrice Evra has told the press of his inability to drink
his favorite drink, Sprite, after seeing nothing but green in it. France take on the Republic of
Ireland this weekend in a crucial World Cup qualifyer, and Evra has quickly learned to despise all

sick of the colour green as he prepares for France's World Cup play-off clashes with the Republic

This Sunday was fairly familiar for me. I was sporting a cracking hangover and woke up wondering
what happened the previous night. The ‘Big Clash' of the day, as usual, didn't match the hype
that it was given. Patrice Evra failed to remember he's a great left-back against Chelsea and an
angry Scotsmen made more comments about a referee.

Was Wes Brown fouled by Drogba?
Manchester United should feel hard done by. A fine display and they are right to feel
aggravated. Jonny Evans and Wes Brown were terrific while Darren Fletcher was United's best player,
but it wasn't to be their day, as John Terry's header deep in the second half was enough to send
Chelsea five points clear.

Just before the game yesterday between
Man United and
Chelsea, when the team news
came through and there was no Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic or Dimitar Berbatov in the starting
line-up, I was worried. We were going to Stamford Bridge without three of our main players but at
the end of the game, I was disappointed for a totally different reason.

Man United and
Chelsea have been the top two teams in the
Premier League over
the past few seasons, tomorrow they go head-to-head at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea is the on form team
and they will be very dangerous, especially up front tomorrow. Man United on the other hand haven't
been in the best of form and are looking shaky, especially at the back.

Patrice Evra seems to get himself in trouble when we play Chelsea. The season before last he was
involved in a fight with a member of Chelsea's groundstaff after our defeat.
There was CCTV footage of the incident and the FA conceded that this did not show Evra hitting
the groundsman. The FA noted that the groundsman claimed he was hit on his right ear and that Evra
is right-handed, making it impossible for him to have struck him, given they were stood squared up
to each other.

After the effective, if not inspiring, performance of the second string in the Carling Cup
earlier in the week, normal service resumes this weekend as United face Blackburn in the Premier
League.
Rovers enjoyed a relatively safe passage into the quarter finals of that competition that none
of the big guns tend to take very seriously the League Cup themselves on Tuesday night although
Saturday should prove a much tougher hurdle for Sam Allardyce and his swine flu-hit charges to
negotiate.

The FA's dealing of Patrice Evra following the fuss that ensued during Manchester United's warm
down at Stamford Bridge the season before last was nothing short of totally ludicrous. Despite the
CCTV showing no proof of what the racist claimed and Evra having to be left-handed to hit Bethell
where it is claimed (he's right-handed) the FA banned Evra for an incredible four matches!

You're only as good as your last game and following eleven without defeat, Sunday proved
something of a wake-up call. United certainly need to up the ante and fortunately they won't have
to wait very long to attempt to put things right. A little over 50 hours to be precise as a trip to
Barnsley in the Carling Cup will hopefully lift spirits, if ever so slightly, following the
depressing result at Anfield.

Patrice Evra has told reporters of the pain that him and his United teammates are feeling
following their 2-0 loss to rivals Liverpool. United were defeated by a Fernando Torres goal, and a
late David N'gog goal added salt to United's wounds.

Sir Alex Ferguson could be in trouble with the FA again. Sir Alex

thought Patrice Evra had fouled him.
