Liverpool FC have confirmed that Mamadou Sakho has failed a drugs test and has been suspended by the club.

The test took place at Old Trafford following our 1-1 draw in the Europa League which saw us knocked out.

Sakho played for 90 minutes in both games against United and also scored a crucial goal in the next round to beat Borussia Dortmund.
