Tim Ream returned to England earlier this week with all the necessary paperwork completed for
him to suit up for Bolton Wanderers, and he might not have to wait long at all to make his
debut.
Bolton manager Owen Coyle told reporters on Thursday morning that Ream, and two of the other
club's recent acquisitions, will be on the gameday squad that will take on Wigan Athletic in a
match with relegation implications on Saturday.

According to a flash report on the BBC Sport website, Tim Ream has received his work permit and
will sign with Bolton Wanderers. Having no ancestral connection to allow for a passport, Ream
needed to apply for a work permit. That procedure has hampered potential American moves in the
past. New York had been preparing for Ream to be sold to Bolton.
Sebastien Le Toux will have a week to impress the Bolton Wanderer's coaching staff, according to
manager Owen Coyle. The Scot confirmed reports out of the United States that Le Toux was on his way
to Bolton on a trial ahead of a possible transfer.
"We have received good reports about Sebastian, so we thought we would give him an opportunity
to come into the group," said Coyle.

Hard to believe it but the Philadelphia Union are close to selling their biggest star, Sebastien

George John could be on the move (again). (Getty Images)
A fun bit of news broke late yesterday evening. Two US National team defenders George John and
Omar Gonzalez were said to be leaving the national team camp for "club-related matters". Naturally
their two teams instantly sent out messages about those matters.
There are a number of ways to get called up to a historically prestigious national team, among
them simply owning an Argentinean passport between the years 2008 and 2010. Not on that list is
being a 29 year old defender for a minnow languishing near the bottom of Serie B. Typically,
anyway, if things are being judged on merit.

Soccer America reports that Liverpool has signed 17-year-old midfielder Marc Pelosi, who
represented the USA at the 2011 Under-17 World Cup in Mexico, to its academy program.
Pelosi, who played for De Anza Force in the Bay Area, had a verbal commitment to attend UCLA. He
got around the work permit requirements because he holds a German passport.

Article by Pedro Gomes. This morning began like any other for me. I started the ol' desktop, fired up the web browser and
began to troll my usual soccer news sources with a cup of Joe in hand.
The first story that caught my eye was one out of England, which doesn't typically do it for me but
this one had "U.
Remember, remember the fifth of November well, some Conference North fans would probably rather
not remember a Saturday speckled with nasty incidents which hardly cover the league in glory.
Accusations of racist abuse on the field, alleged violence and a goalkeeper sent off for
throwing a firework into a stand (no really) have left a grubby stain on the northern half of Step

George John had to hold off on his dreams of a move to Europe this summer when a proposed
transfer to Blackburn fell through in the final stages. Those events may ultimately lead John to
wind up at a better club this winter, if reports are to be believed.
According to the UK Daily Mail, Everton and Wigan are both on the trail of the FC Dallas
defender and are expected to make January bids for the big centerback.

With the MLS playoff race dominating the headlines in recent weeks, a bit of news slipped under
the radar recently regarding one of the best young prospects in the league.
Omar Salgado recently celebrated his 18th birthday, and a week after that he scored the best
present a young American soccer player could hope for.

I really wanted to get to this yesterday since the player's agent actually contacted me about
it. Ah never the less it was still reported well over at my other hub at BigDSoccer.com.
FC Dallas defender George John is on his way to Greece to pick up his Greek passport.
George John has moved a big step closer to a move to the English Premier League after Major
League Soccer and Blackburn agreed on the fee for the standout centerback.
Here is my Fox Soccer story on the latest development's in Blackburn's move for John, who is on
his way to Greece to secure his passport, which will help facilitate his transfer.
The boys done good, as the adage goes. It might have been a distinctly unexotic first
step into Europe's junior competition yesterday evening, but they were steps plenty big enough for
Jim Jefferies and his half-baked Jam Tarts. In fact, you might even say: we proved to be
rather...sticky customers?
Upon clicking on this,it seems nice, fun. Yet there is no worldly reason why one should watch
several minutes of this. And yet I did. I couldn't stop. "Just score, would you?"
Nor any idea why it happened, though there are suspicions Jose is looking into a 1-0-108
formation for the Super Cup.
Untold Arsenal on Twitter @UntoldArsenal By Tony Attwood Arsenal have been using Ryo Miyaichi in

Villyan Bijev was a forward who put up good numbers with Cal Odyssey of the USSDA and was one of
the first two to sign Letter's of Intent with the University of Washington and Coach Jamie Clark.
The young American with a Bulgarian passport will now be skipping his college commitments to
instead come-up through the Liverpool system.
I have several things set to pop for you, but for now let's stick to just one because I'm in a
world of pain right now, this has leaked out with a little wrong info and I have yet to get a photo
for the proper MLSS report.Anyway... Cali boy Villyan Bijev has signed a five-year first team deal
with Liverpool.
As I write this, I'm on my way to a job interview. I'm happy with my current job but that's
often the best time to have a look round. This is a similar role but in a national private
corporation as opposed to the voluntary sector. I'll have greater responsibilities, a bigger
budget, more people to manage and a higher profile, which this stage of my career is a real
opportunity.

So, football yesterday and pre-season kicked off with a fairly routine win over a Malaysia
XI.
Two goals in each half gave us a 4-0 win. An early Aaron Ramsey penalty after Jack Wilshere had
been taken down in the box opened the scoring. The second came from a lovely Ramsey pass over the
top of the Malaysia defence, Theo Walcott timed his run and lobbed the onrushing keeper.
Friday's here, I'm leaving town, I've come to accept Charlie Adam, and there's a good chance
that if I don't get straight to the point I'll say something embarrassingly lustful about Raul
Meireles omigodilovehimsomuch:
* Following the signing of Charlie Adam and the extensions given to Glen Johnson and Andre
Wisdom, Damien Comolli took a break from smiling deviously to chat with the offal about the the new
boy, what the club's intentions are in the transfer market, and his feeling about things have
proceeded so far.
Not that one needs to coerce me to this kicking and screaming, mind you.Alright... so... I can
reveal that the AS Roma likey list has new charter with a bullet at a position they'd like to
bolster. Jermaine Jones also has the all-important EU passport, making him another potential

They went into the game without either of their first choice keepers, Mega Kurnia and Ahmad

The Physio room at Tottenham is becoming ever more crowded as Steven Pienaar joined a growing

With those simple words born from the mind of Lloyd Christmas in the movie Dumb and Dumber,
optimists have a rallying call and continue to believe they are destined to succeed whenever it
looks like the odds are heavily against them.
Not much to report the past couple of days. At least nothing really THAT interesting.
We're linked with Sergio Ramos because he and CRon apparently don't get along. There was
obviously only going to be one winner from that battle. The real question is whether or not Madrid
will let him go or tell the 2 players to suck it up and coexist.
