Who Ate All The Pies indeed...
A fine striker in his time, and a winner of four Scudettos with Internazionale, Adriano Leite
Ribeiro was always dazzled by the bright lights of the big city. Indeed, if it wasn't for his
penchant for partying, he could have gone on to become one of his country finest exports of recent
times.
We're now officially 30 months away from the World Cup in Brazil, which means
there isn't much time for the country to start finalizing some basic rules. When it comes to
football of course, 'basic rules' really range from the sale of beers to deciding on how much
'fiesta' (partying) is allowed in the stadiums.
Usain Bolt is the fastest man on earth. Apparently, he doesn't need to train hard to keep that
title. In his home of Jamaica, a drunk Usain Bolt was photographed. As you can tell in the Usain
Bolt drunk pictures, he can drink just about as fast as he can run.
These pictures probably won't do much to help his reputation.
Anyone who knows me will tell you that Nile Ranger fits more than one category for me liking a
football player; his criminal past, appearance of a west coast rapper and general behaviour is
something that I am generally fond of. But after the recent spout of charges and behaviour problems
I now find this kid intolerable.
Closing in on a season defining fortnight, I have several questions about our beloved Naranja. We
discussed this ad naseum over lunch today. The answers, of course, will mean the difference between
attending the playoffs possibly for the last time at Robertson Stadium and watching the playoffs
from the depths of my couch (those that are actually broadcast on noncable TV).
Outside of doing lines off a hooker's tender parts presumably is Adrian Mutu really a bad boy,
or just an idiot? Both are probably on the scale, but the weight seems to shift towards the latter.
His latest "drug ban" was for weight-loss supplements, after all.
It's not like he rock-star smashed up his hotel or anything, but rather consumed some adult
beverages a couple of nights before a game.
By Eric Beard, finally concluding my Ajax Experience series.
The Ajax vs AZ Alkmaar match at Amsterdam ArenA was on Sunday, which meant the flight from
Amsterdam would have to be delayed until Monday evening. One more day. Well, classes could
wait.
It was a weekday, not to mention our 5th day in the city, so no partying or anything of that
nature was on the cards.
With the 2011 MLS All-Star Game set for Wednesday at Red Bull Arena, we at SBI will be helping
soccer fans in town for the festivities enjoy their time in in the area by throwing our first
All-Star Bash on Monday night at Legends in Manhattan (6 W. 33rd Street, across the street from the
Empire State Building).
In case you haven't noticed, there isn't always a whole lot for us to blog about on a regular
basis. The preseason tour doesn't begin for a few more weeks, nothing of substance has officially
happened in the transfer window yet, and the regular season is still over a month and a half away.
But since we're new and still trying to make a go of it, we're doing the best we can to deliver
fresh content.
Robin Van Persie doesn't think that the present Arsenal squad can consider themselves as title
contenders, not after making a has of it at the end of most seasons, and he thinks that Arsene
Wenger needs to bring in a "number of players" to make the Gunners into real trophy contenders
again. He said: "Every [.
Barcelona's triumphant players paraded the club's fourth European Cup through the warm streets
of a festive Catalan capital before partying with almost 100,000 fans at the Nou Camp stadium.
Boarding an open-top bus, Barcelona wound their way through the thronged streets with the
European Cup and La Liga trophies displayed at the front of the vehicle.

You know the deal we don't go swooning over something unless we really like it! Very much like
the new social football game we were telling you about last week IAMPLYR,
where you get to play the role of a top-notch striker at a club, faced with important
decisions!
Greetings from fabulous Las Vegas!
i am on vacation visiting my cousins and partying with fellow members of the Winning Ugly crew,
so I'm not going to bother with any kind of insight of my own for tomorrow night's game. Never
fear, however; I will be hosting a game thread tomorrow.
Anyways, today's Q&A is with Andy Edwards of The Daily Wiz, Sporting KC's blog on SB Nation.
Ronaldinho has turned a full 180 in the last couple of months. With his poor form and partying ways
at AC Milan, many fans had doubts we would ever see... Read more »

Will return to the bench for today
off, happy new year 2011 to all of you. It's been a wonderful 2010 and long may that continue
this year. Except maybe to cut down on the disappointments and perhaps see Arsenal lifting trophies
once again. Hope I find you well even after you day/night out partying, but for our players,
there's another match to contend with today.
