Premier League duo Liverpool and Chelsea are set to go head-to-head for the signature of Partizan
Belgrade starlet Lazar Markovic, according to The People.
Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish and the clubs director of football Damien Comolli are both said to
be huge fans of the Markovic. Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas is also believed to be an admirer of
the 17-year-old.
The Calm Before The StormBSK Borča 0-4 Vojvodina (26:11:11)It's the morning of The Eternal Derby in Belgrade. Before living and
breathing that dream fixture, Ken Morton and friends took in a match in relatively serene
surroundings...The Luton Ibis is far from glamorous but the prospect of a big European derby made it slightly
easier to rise from my slumber.
The Belgrade derby has some, shall we say, "behavioral issues" which require constant
considerations. How best to combat a problem of lighting the stands on fire whilst also throwing
Molotov seat cocktails?
Remove the damn seats.
Good in theory, questionable in its successful application.
Some time ago, a friend and I were discussing youth power in football and how an academy brings
out talent time and again. I thought this would be an interesting topic to write on though it has
been thrown around quite a bit in the blogosphere already. But, given that it's international
weekend, Phil Jones has been prompted as a future England captain, and Jack Wilshere is causing
people the age of his Dad sweat over him, it sounds appropriate to devote something to the Next
Gen.

Its been 5 months since I last wrote here, and a lot has happened in this period.
Arsenal, for the first time in a long, long time, in January, is still in with a good chance in all
4 competitions.
The English Premier League - We are in with a decent chance, we are just a few
points behind Manchester United, with plenty of games yet to be played.

has been emailing me for weeks explaining why the Gaffer should buy René Adler instead of Manuel
Neuer. On Monday, however, Stojko had a new subject.
