Liverpool are thought to be lining up a raid on Celtic for their talented winger James Forrest.
The 20 year-old flyer made his debut for the Hoops at the end of the 2009/10 season, but has only truly established himself as a star in the making this season.
He has scored 5 goals in 22 Clydesdale Bank Premier League appearances this season, and great things are expected of the young Scot, who has so far earned 4 caps in his short career.

Celtic spanked St Mirren 5-0 at Parkhead in the SPL yesterday, with 18-year old Dylan McGeouch wrapping up proceedings with his first ever goal for the Bhoys (on his second appearance) despite having only been on the pitch for eight minutes - charging 80-yards up-field before sliding a neat shot inside the post from the edge of the box.

Every so often events conspire to make us question whether there is indeed some footballing god directing proceedings from, somewhere. After UEFA's initial decision to remove Swiss club FC Sion from the Europa League, the club they had previously beaten on aggregate in the final playoff round that club being Celtic FC were awarded their place in Group I in their stead.

After an enthralling climax to last year's Scottish Premier League, which saw elder statesmen Walter Smith's Rangers side take the title over newcomer Neil Lennon's Celtic by just a solitary point, hopes were high that this year would also be a season to remember for the Old Firm.

Lennon is in his first full seasonsecond season as the manager at Parkhead, and long-time assistant Ally McCoist has finally taken over for Smith at the Govan club.

To say that football is a game that brings out the full passion of its fans in an understatement in many different categories.

Henrik Larsson looked like he was never away from Parkhead as he scored a hat-trick on his return to Celtic for their Charity match against Manchester United who themselves had former captain Roy Keane in their ranks.

But it was Larsson who stole the show scoring a hat-trick in a 5-2 win over United having been 2-0 down in the first half.

The fourth Old Firm game of the season is almost upon us. And what a season defining game it could be.
