One future University of Wisconsin athlete and one former Badger are poised to play in the USL
W-League playoffs this week.
Midfielder Kinley McNicoll, who has verbally committed to UW for the 2012
season, and the Toronto Lady Lynx (5-5-2) will play the regular-season champion Ottawa Fury
(12-0-0) in a Central Conference semifinal on Saturday in Ottawa.
On Friday night, the New Hampshire Phantoms (PDL) and Western Mass
Pioneers kicked off the Fourth of July weekend with action at Lusitano Stadium in Ludlow,
MA. Striker Christopher Tsonis scored the lone goal of the match to give the Phantoms the edge in a
1-0 road victory.
