Signing of the Season

Inthestands.co.uk - Football Banter For the Masses - Football Blog 19 September @ 11:04 AM EST

So we're a few weeks in, and I'm calling Thomas Vermaelen the signing of the season.

4 goals already from the defender (Including his two today against ), he has seems to have improved the Gunners defence hugely (Apart from in Manchester, his kryptonite). Wenger really has surpassed himself with this relatively unknown defender that makes the £20+ million on Lescott seem pathetic.

Football Corner 07 July @ 12:52 PM EST
The family of Osama Bin Laden have today been linked with a buy-out of Premier League side Newcastle United. It has been rumoured in recent weeks that Mike Ashley may leave the club this summer after only one year in charge.

The Daily Madness: Banned for running a forum?, Mancini takes frustration out on Roma, Hopefully Wenger not as naughty as Bin Laden, & more

Football is for the Madman 30 August @ 09:59 AM EST
Imagine being the lifelong supporter of a club that's practically right outside your front door. You are so dedicated to your club that you eventually become the administrator of the club's independent supporters forum, spending God knows how many hours doing God knows what to get to that level. Then, out of the blue, you get a call from Graham Turner, the team's owner and manager, telling you, that because of something posted on the forum, you are banned from the club's stadium.
