Unless Montreal has a tremendous change of heart and things deteriorate tremendously, Brian Ching
will be in Orange by late this week. The Dynamo's all-time leading scorer wants to play in Houston
as much today as when he told me a day before the expansion draft last November that he would
retire rather than play [.
As hinted at in last night's post it felt like a good night to be a blue from the word go.
City always seem to fall foul of Everton's superior workrate and commitment. Players like Aguero,
Villa and Nasri have added real class to go along with the brawn but where is the steel that side
will need to win a title?
On the train going to the match. Things might actually be looking up for the blues with new blood
coming in to freshen up a squad in danger of going stale.
Odd to have games on transfer deadline day but hopefully all our business is done with a
midfielder, a striker and a defender all signed up and possibly a big earner off the books
(although I can't see Saha going to Spurs).
It seems the Tories simply can't get involved with altering contracts...it would be utterly
unthinkable for then to intervene in RBS boss Stephen Hester's bonus. This is definitely a tricky
one but the bottom line is that that bank is just not performing.
The interesting point for me is that whilst the Conservatives hold contracts in the financial
services sacred they just take it as a given they can totally rip-up the contracts of all those
public sector workers and their pensions agreementsSent using BlackBerry® from Orange

Barcelona's away shirt for the 2012-13 season will be orange, according to a leaked design from
Spanish website Sport.es.
Pictured above, the new design features a Nike shirt sponsored by Qatar Foundation. The shirt
features the gold World Cup Club badge in the center of the shirt, as well as a color scheme that
morphs from orange at the top to yellow near the bottom.
Amid all of the conversation about Danny Cruz' future in Houston in the previous post, and the
chance to stick it to the L'Impact in Florida in the post before that, (And why would anyone be
surprised that L'Impact would be in Florida in February and March. Aren't fully two-thirds of ALL
Canadians in Florida about that time of year?
Lost in all the hullabaloo surrounding the MLS Re-Entry Draft was the news that not only did
midfielder Danny Cruz graduate from Generation adidas, his contract option was not picked up.
According to MLS Insider, Cruz will be out of contract at the end of the year and is generating
interest from a couple European clubs.

The U.S. Men's National Team was back on the field Wednesday morning, putting in a solid session

Here are the details on how to get tickets for Sunday's Eastern Conference Final in Kansas

Dynamo Advance to Eastern Conference Final in Kansas City!
In the second leg of the Eastern Conference semifinal against the Philadelphia Union on Thursday
night, Ching struck the lone goal to give Houston the win and seal passage to a Conference Final
for the fourth time in six-years.
David Beckham and Thierry Henry will hope to lead their clubs to a playoff win this weekend.

I already submitted some picks for the playoffs over at BigDSoccer.com, you can read them there
but seeing how I was wrong on one of them already I figured I can get a pass and just focus on the
final eight here.
Let's not waste any time getting this started shall we?
But first, a look back:
Yes, you read that headline right. The playoffs are a brand new season with a logic and
weirdness all of its own. And right now, while it's clear looking over the time spent since that
wonderful win over Frisco in Corpus Christi this past February, that the Dynamo are not the best
team in the league, I would not bet against the Orange.

The game against Portland which will tell much of the tale of the rest of this season is Friday.

ahead of that game, check out the above video of the players touring Dynamo Park yesterday
afternoon.
Around 11:30pm CT on Friday evening, we'll know a great deal more about the Houston Dynamo's
playoff chances for the 2011 season. All those missteps and dropped points throughout the long
summer have culminated in a massively important match against the Portland Timbers at Jeld-Wen
Field.
As if the game itself wasn't enough, there's the added storyline of Mike Chabala and Lovel
Palmer waiting for their former comrades in orange to arrive.
Ah, would you just look at THAT! If it isn't Chelsea's resident Spaniards in
Valencia wearing Los Che's traditional colours,
Orange! You can't get any cheesier than that in a strangely endearing way, of
course. Anyway, Juan Mata is all set to face his former side tonight when Valencia
host Chelsea at the Mestalla.
After years of failing to achieve success Persib have acted ruthlessly, culling much from last
season's squad.
Out have gone Christian Gonzales, Hilton Moreira, Markus Horison, Nova Arianto, Isnan Ali, Siswanto

In have come Nasuha, Tony Sucipto, M Ilham and Aliyudin; all from bitter rivals Persija.

Este récord anterior lo cortó Suiza en el primer encuentro del Mundial, aunque eso no fue óbice

There had been talk that this would finally be the year that iconic Indonesian striker Bambang
Pamungkas would leave Persija. Instead a new club leader has convinced the international to stay
another year and along with fellow long serving Ismed Sofyan will wear the orange of Persija in the
upcoming season.
A.On Facebook, Fox Soccer just asked "What EPL stadium would you most like to visit?" My answer,
Craven Cottage of course. A sampling of some other answers:
1. Ibrox
2. Wembley Stadium
3. Estadio De Luz

I would have imagined that Ronnie Whelan was watching the Euro 1988 final with his friends or
family and reflecting back on his great year, great Euro, and most important, his great goal that
would be undoubtedly win the memory of the world as 'goal of the tournament'.
Ronnie goal was against Soviet Union in the first round, and after Republic of Ireland defeated
England 1-0, they almost did the same with Soviet Union, but the game ended 1-1 tie.
Fulham under Chris Coleman a few years ago was affectionately called Fulhamerica because of the
distinct American look to that squad. Now only Clint Dempsey is left from the days of Brian McBride
and Carlos Bocanegra.
It's Rangers who are now providing the welcome mat for Americans.
Nike has released their latest version of the Nike Superfly III and these
things are pretty flashy coming in an Orange! You have to love how Nike break the boundaries with
colorful releases, and these ones fall in line with the Berry release from a few years back. They
fall in the $300 category, so you will need to be sure about these ones if you are going to pick up
a pair!

Julian Finney/Getty Images(Bleacher Report) After being rebuffed in January after a failed £12m

to be lower, but with the Tangerienes now relegated, Adam will be keen to move back up to the
Premier League after a great season in orange.

It was all Dynamo on a hot and humid night at Robertson Stadium and while there were plenty of
wasted chances by the men in Orange, Danny Cruz finally found the net early in the second half to
give Houston a much needed 1-0 victory.
The Dynamo broke through in the 51st minute on the counter attack.

The USA's 90-minute training session today was held under intermittent sunshine and clouds, but the
squad is looking sharp and extremely anxious to get this tournament underway. The competition
starts tomorrow with two games in Group A and then the tournament will be off and running with
matches on eight straight days.
The baffling delay regarding our change kit has finally been ended today with this leaked photo of
a particularly bright kit, likely inspired by the skill and ability of Toon starlet Michael
