I arrived tonight in Vancouver, B.C., for the FIFA/CONCACAF Conference on the FIFA Women's World
Cup in Germany 2011. After looking through my brochure, I'm excited to see that many coaches,
instructors and staff from FIFA projects I've worked on previously, and many of my fellow
Americans, will be here.

The African Nations Cup kicks off this weekend, which provides a handy
opportunity for under performing league players to show what they're about! Unfortunately,
perennial favourites Egypt failed to qualify for this alongside Algeria,
Cameroon and Nigeria.
And they're back! : Two activists from women's rights organisation
Femen in Ukraine staged a protest in front of the Arena Lviv stadium before its opening ceremony in

celebration with the rest of world, I share few stories I heard either from TV, or read about them,

(7.10.2011) Portland, Ore. Forty-five minutes before kick off and from a
quarter mile away you could hear the chants and screams of rabid fans from within Jeld-Wen Field
drowning out the rest of the city, as Major League Soccer prepared to take its roost for the

I honestly love this event. Seriously. It's the city's best amateur soccer event and a staple of my
ever-lightening summer social calendar but the short notice routine is waaaaay tired.
The 2011 Copa America tournament begins on July 1, 2011. For viewers in the United States, every
game will be televised live on television and the Internet. Please note that all games will be
also be shown live on YouTube's Copa America channel. Games will also be shown live via
