Philadelphia Independence owner David Halstead says the Philadelphia Independence will be back
in 2013.
In a letter to Independence fans on the club's website, Halstead said the decision to cancel the
2012 season was difficult, but necessary.
Halstead points to the ongoing litigation with Dan Borislow about his Florida-based franchise as
the reason for the cancellation of the season.
Carlos Tevez's advisor, Kia Joorabchian is quoted in the English newspapers as saying that Tevez
will not be sold in the January transfer window:
"We've been in negotiations with three big clubs but I don't think they have reached the figures
Manchester City want. Carlos will remain at Man City until the summer.
Manchester United's Mexican striker, Javier Hernandez, acknowledged the need to improve his
quality if he wants to compete with the strikers his club possessed at the moment.
Although injuries has been Hernandez's main obstacle in reprising last season's performance, but
the 23-years-old stated that the competition is harder this season especially with Danny Wellbeck's
arrival from Sunderland.
England national team got themselves a pretty good draw in their Euro 2012 campaign, considering
all the worse possibilities, being paired with Ukraine, France and Sweden obviously isn't the
toughest group on paper.
This drawing result apparently gave confidence to the Union Jack's manager, Fabio Capello, who
revealed that his team obviously got a pretty comfortable group on paper especially compared to
Group B which consist the likes of Holland, Germany, Portugal and Denmark.
"Keep D.C. United" is a fan founded and volunteer driven movement with aim at keeping DC United in
the Washington, DC area. For 16 years, United has been housed at the certainly historic, but
ultimately decrepit RFK Stadium. The fans have certainly formed a bond with the stadium that moves,
quite literally, with them.
What is the difference between a dive and a flop? In part two of our series ("Fall of the
Superman") PF will discuss the art of the dive, which we defined as any airborne maneuvers employed
by a player (such as Emmanuel Eboue's tongue extension in the Champions League Final four years
ago). The ensuing "flop" is the second movement to this ballet whereas the magic of flight is
ruptured by contact with earth.
Organisation is the key to many of life's success, and this has been ably demonstrated than by
Plymouth Argyle fans over recent days, in dealing with two potential obstacles to the club's exit
from administration. The starkest issue was highlighted by Ian King on this site on Sunday as the
story broke of attempts by former directors to disrupt and potentially threaten outright Argyle's
exit from administration, in order to protect personal financial interests.
By J Hutcherson - WASHINGTON, DC (Oct 5, 2011) US Soccer Players --One of the constant complaints
during what feels like a never ending season of Major League Soccer has been time. Coaches don't
have enough of it. Players are expected to do too much with limited amounts of it. The schedule has
turned into the biggest obstacle between a team doing their best and simply making due.
Liverpool may still be considered by many as potential title challenger this season but
according to their new star, Luis Suarez, at the moment it's very unlikely for his team to
challenge for the league title.
Suarez admitted that the strength of two Manchester clubs alongside Chelsea are a bit further
than other teams in the premier league including the Pool, who are still sitting at fifth place in
the league table with 13 points.

Jose Francisco Torres was making plenty of headway for the U.S. national team, getting repeated
chances to start under new coach Jurgen Klinsmann.
All of that progress has hit a bit of an obstacle, though, with the word that the midfielder
will miss the remainder of Pachuca's Apertura season after suffering an injury to his fifth
metatarsal, according to Pachuca's official Twitter feed.
Lugano is about to sign with the Paris Saint-Germain. It's certain to happen in the next day or
so. I predict that's a decisive move for the PSG to win the championship this year. Diego Lugano
will bring the garra that can overcome any obstacle. Well done Leonardo!
Maracanazos wish a warm welcome to Diego Lugano!
Editor's Note: We've published several op-eds on the Free Beer Movement site, but with no
real distinction between what is news and what is opinion. Our editorials are now going to come
with the feature tag "Making the Case", well, because its an awesome beer pun, and we love
those.
Aquilani's Milan Move Still Has Legs
Alberto Aquilani's long-running transfer saga at Liverpool could soon be facing an end, claims
his agent. Franco Zavaglia has notably been extremely outspoken about Aquilani's future during the
past few weeks and believes that there is ‘truth' in rumours linking his client to AC Milan.
Milan sealed their eighteenth title in Rome way back in May, though the final few games were a case
of dotting the Is and crossing the Ts. The final point was a formality. Whilst it is true to say
that last season's Milan were a superb side from top to bottom. There was quality throughout their
ranks and enough depth to carry them comfortably over every obstacle they encountered.
Agent: Jovanovic Definitely Going to Anderlecht
The agent of Liverpool flop Milan Jovanovic insists the player's proposed most to Anderlecht
will definitely go ahead, despite talks stalling between the two parties regarding the player's
wages. We first reported this story early this month, when Jovanovic first met with Anderlecht
officials to discuss a possible transfer.

Earlier, I took a look at the players who might be signed by Arsenal this summer. Naturally, for
there to be incoming players, there has to be departures. There has been numerous times, not only
this last season but over the last few seasons where a large number of players have let us down
with their sub-standard performances.
It took twelve months but Fulham have finally hired Martin Jol as their manager. Jol signed a
two year deal worth a reported £1.5million-a-year plus bonuses.
A year ago Fulham wanted to hire Jol after Roy Hodgson left for Liverpool. but Ajax would not
release him. Ajax was no longer an obstacle as Jol quit Ajax in December of last year.

Aberdeen v Celtic.
Four games so far this season and Celtic have racked up an aggregate score of 17-1. They probably
just edge it as favourites today.
Coming into the weekend this was seen as the semi-final that would likely turn out the more one
sided affair. Then marvellous Motherwell led the sorry Saints on a first half dance at Hampden
yesterday.
Congratulations to Real Salt Lake for reaching the finals of the 2010/11 CONCACAF Champions League.
They become the first Major League Soccer team to do so since the tournament changed from its
previous format as the CONCACAF Champions Cup. The LA Galaxy were the last MLS team to reach a
CONCACAF tournament final back in 2000.
Director of football strategy Damien Comolli wants to take Liverpool back to trophy-winning ways -
and has revealed that a busy summer of big-money transfer dealings is in the offing to kick-start
their re-emergence.
Recently promoted by club owners Fenway Sport Group, Comolli has been briefed to help manager Kenny
Dalglish do all he can to bring in top-quality players for next season.
Plymouth Argyle are languishing at the bottom of League 1, ten points having been deducted by the
Football League for an ‘insolvency event', giving notice of their intention to appoint
administrators.Players have not been paid since November and their debts are estimated at £13m.
Yet in 2008 they finished 10th in the Championship, had posted a £1.

Those doing sports betting at BetUs have been watching Arsenal try to pull off a historic
quadruple as they are in the Carling Cup final on Sunday against Birmingham, and they're still
alive in the FA Cup, the Champions League and the Premiership. But with the fixtures piling up,
injuries could be a major obstacle for the Gunners.
After a rather dull start, the transfer window has turned into quite the circus for your average
Liverpool fan. And today could be somewhat interesting, to put it mildly.
In "News that has unfortunately been overshadowed by the Torres situation" news, new record
signing Luis Suarez has passed his medical, and having already agreed to personal terms it's the
last obstacle before officially signing on as the newest member of Liverpool Football Club.
When Francesco Guidolin left Parma to manage Udinese, I was disappointed. Guidolin had united a
set of strong individuals, managing Parma all the way up to eighth in the table last season.
Udinese finished 15th this past season, yet Guidolin saw something in the club and decided to join
them.

For a few years now, Everton have only needed that final piece of their jigsaw: a top-notch
forward, but cash has proven to be their sole obstacle. Their season has been wretched thus far,
given that expectations were rightfully high, and the Toffees may just be risking losing David
Moyes, and all the progress he has made with the team in the last nine years.
