"The Manchester players protested a lot. I don't know why. I don't like this."
Oh, the irony.
John Terry said he 'loved' Didier Drogba's disgraceful reaction to their result against
Barcelona last season. Remember the one? He had to be dragged away from the referee before shouting
"it's a fucking disgrace!
It's time to get back to work. And back to winning.
Carlo Ancelotti's first real test as Chelsea manager arrives today when the Blues resume Group D
play in the Champions League against Cyprus' APOEL Nicosia.
This will be Chelsea's more importantly CA's first match since the 3-1 defeat away to Wigan on
Saturday, the Blues' first loss of the 2009-10 season.
Stasera, allo stadio Adriatico di Pescara sarà grande calcio. Infatti, Inter, Juve e Milan
scenderanno in campo per la nona edizione del Trofeo Tim (la prima, nel 2001, andò al Milan che si
è aggiudicato anche l'ultima manifestazione). Nonostante i tanti assenti (i giocatori appena
Click to continue reading...

Seeing Vieira play against Chelsea recently in a match saw a player past his prime. In a preview
of what a return would look like, he got decked trying to stop John Obi Mikel. His renowned
physical prowess has been undercut by age, few appearances, and frequent injuries since his move to
Inter.
Congratulations to John Obi for inking a new long-term deal with the club on Wednesday. The kid
is a remarkable talent, and we're glad to have him for the foreseeable future.
This, though, this is uncanny. Separated at birth?
Chelsea is often bandied about as being old, ageing, beyond their prime, as Sir Alex Ferguson
would attest. And it's hard to argue the point, with a fair slice of our key players over 30, the
most notable including Ballack, Drogba and Lampard.
And whilst there are players who are under 25, only a few continue to make the grade week after
week.

According to Martin Lipton at the Daily Mirror, Inter Milan boss Jose
Mourinho is preparing to offer £15 million for Chelsea midfielder
John Obi Mikel. However Chelsea may be reluctant to sell him.
We lost on Saturday for many reasons, but one of these was our failure to control Florent
Malouda.
If you look at chalkboards much you'll notice that it's quite rare for players to actually make
successful passes into the penalty area. Fulham players almost never do it, but nor do a lot of
the big teams either.
Angry Barcelona stars have branded Chelsea a bunch of thugs. The Spanish giants were left
fuming after their Champions League semi-final first leg ended 0-0 in the Nou Camp on Tuesday.
They slated ref Wolfgang Stark for letting bad tackles go, snubbing a penalty and for not
sending off Michael Ballack.
United took the lead after 18 minutes through Park, who finished from close range after Petr Cech
saved a low drive from Dimitar Berbatov following excellent work by Patrice Evra. Chelsea drew
level when substitute Kalou rose unmarked in the visiting penalty area to head home a John Obi
Mikel free-kick with 10 minutes remaining. Click to continue reading...
Oh how nice it is to have good ol' injury back in the mix at Stamford Bridge. Just three
games into the Premier League season, and Chelsea are facing a mini injury crisis in midfield.
With Michael Ballack and John Obi-Mikel already struggling with knocks the later a muscle tear
which sounds more serious than we are being led to believe the Blues suffered another blow over the
weekend when midfield dynamo Michael Essien picked up a "serious" ankle injury in Ghana's
World Cup qualifier with Libya.
Spurs have recently been just that in the side of Chelsea. Last year, those bums were able to
not only pry the Carling Cup from our hands but also also deal a devastating blow to our Premier
League title aspirations let's be real, Robbie Keane's out-of-nothing finish did that.
Germany's Michael Ballack set up the first goal as Luiz Felipe Scolari's tenure as manager of
Chelsea got off to the perfect start as his side sent out a message to the rest of the league
Sunday with a highly impressive 4-0 victory over Portsmouth. It wasn't just that Chelsea won that was so striking: it was the style of the victory. Click to continue reading...
"Cheerio, cheerio, cheerio," the Old Trafford crowd jeered, waving John Obi Mikel off the
pitch enthusiastically. Just days before, Jose Mourinho had been sacked and with half an hour
played in to their first game without him, they were down to ten men. Mikel had clattered in to
Patrice Evra and Mike Dean showed no hesitation [. Click to continue reading...
Thought I'd chuck up some highlights from the African cup of nations that is currently being played
in Ghana. It's a really entertaining competition to watch and isn't always given enough coverage.
The pressures of club competition and strict tactics don't apply here, it's all about that
audacious run past several defenders or that rocket [. Click to continue reading...
