We're happy to see that the lickalicious Nuri Sahin has recovered from his injury and is back in
action for Real Madrid. What's even more exciting? Watching his hotness factor escalate as we
listen to him speaking Spanish in the press line post match this weekend.
All but four countries have booked their ticket to next summer's finals in Poland and Ukraine,
but the quality among the eight undecided sides have created some intriguing ties, with the
prospect of going on a run a la Greece always ever-present.
The play-off's two legs will be played on the 11th and 15th of the coming month, with the
following countries paired against each other in the final decisive battles of the qualifying
phase.
The verdict is out... UN GRAN SÍ!! More La Liga matches should kick
off at noon (sudden death to your Saturday night hangovers) simply because the natural lighting at
the stadiums are amazing. Madrid looked like they were playing out their FIFA 12
characters in real time at the Bernabeu yesterday.
Extrañando y esperando a Sahin

Champions League Preview: Real and Barca the teams to beat - originally posted on
Soccerlens.com
It seems that in almost every aspect of the game, two clubs dominate the footballing world. They
are Spanish super heavyweights Real Madrid and Barcelona. Any team boasting multiple stars is said
to echo Real's Galactico era, while teams from League Two to the K-League are said to be a
mini-Barcelona.
After a thrilling result on Wednesday, Arsenal were drawn as a top seed in the Champions League
group draw today, Thursday August 25.
Being seeded meant we avoided such big names as Barcelona, Inter, Bayern and Madrid, but anyone
who watches Champions League regularly knows that lower seeded teams can prove difficult.
Mourinho has put an end to all the speculation now. He says Real Madrid squad is more or less
complete now and he is happy with the players he has. Real Madrid were able to sign Hamit
Altintop, Jose Maria Callejon, Fabio Coentrao, Nuri Sahin and Raphael Varane this summer and were
heavily linked to [.

Sunday kicks off the first leg of the 2011 Spanish Super Cup featuring two of the greatest teams
in the world, Real Madrid against Barcelona. Remarkably, this is the first time that Real Madrid
and Barcelona have faced each other in the Spanish Super Cup since 1997 when Los Blancos won both
La Liga and the Supercopa Espana.
Barcelona and Real Madrid renew their rivalry in the two-game Spanish Supercup series this
weekend in what should be an early indicator of each teams' form ahead of the new season.
The teams met five times last season and this preseason series between league winner and
domestic cup champion provides two more clashes, starting with Sunday's first-leg at the Santiago
Bernabeu stadium followed by the return at the Camp Nou on Wednesday.
1. Are Dortmund even better this season?
After a sublime performance against HSV on Friday night, the question has to be asked.
Dortmund's quick passing and interchange left HSV bewildered. The return of Kagawa has given fresh
verve to Dortmund's attack.
Now, call me single minded but there is more than one reason for me enjoying current German
Champions Borussia Dortmund. Not only do I enjoy coverage of youngsters that have been given
licence to express themselves by impressive and passionate coach, Jurgen Klopp but it also gives me
hope. Hope and inspiration.

Real Madrid "re"-announced their World Football Challenge roster today, and it has some
noticeable changes.
Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka, Iker Casillas, Sergio Ramos, Pepe, Ricardo Carvalho, Xabi Alonso and
Mesut Ozil, the headliners of the Madrid side, are all still set to play in Real's USA tour.
Real Madrid is bringing the cavalry for its summer tour of the United States.
Madrid has chosen a first-choice squad for its three games in the World Football Challenge,
which includes the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Mesut Ozil, Kaka, Sergio Ramos and Iker
Casillas.
The biggest omissions are Argentines Angel di Maria and Gonzalo Higuain, who will be
participating in Copa America.
The season is barely over and already Real Madrid have added three new players to their squad
for next season. Their latest signing is former youth team forward Jose Callejon from Espanyol.
The 24-year-old, a former Spanish U21 international, moved to Espanyol at the end of the 2007/08
season and made 97 appearances for the Barcelona-based club, scoring 10 goals.
BERLIN, Germany — German-born Turkish international Nuri Sahin, who is leaving Borussia Dortmund
for Real Madrid, has been voted Bundesliga player of the 2010-11 season by his peers, Kicker
magazine said Monday. The 22-year-old midfielder was voted best outfield player with 46.1 percent
of the vote, the magazine's survey of 298 players showed, followed in [.
In the end, some will be left crying. This, my friends is football and even teams like
Deportivo la Coruna had to learn the hard way following their 0-2 loss to the
Valencians last night. Los Turcos have been relegated from La Liga, and will face a
painful season in second flight with Almeria and Hercules.

This very eve Real Madrid have announced the signing of Hamit Altintop who, you may well
remember, scored one of the sweetest volleys on record for Turkey against Kazakhstan in September
of last year...
BOOF! As if we needed any half-baked excuse to re-post that little doozy.
Remind us why Nuri Sahin is moving to Real Madrid again? From the looks of it, his appetite
for sabotaging press conferences/throwing beer on the coach's head should take him to
Corinthians or at least at an event Robinho will be attending! At
least we can still see Borussia manager Juergen Klopp (on the extreme left) in this photo.
Skysports.com understands that Liverpool have shown an interest in landing Turkish ace Hamit
Altintop.
The midfielder's departure from Bayern Munich has already been confirmed and he will be leaving on
a Bosman transfer.
He has held talks with Real Madrid already and is widely expected to join the Spanish giants,
becoming their second Turkish import of the summer following on from Borussia Dortmund's Nuri
Sahin.

If you missed it earlier in our Weekend Results recap, Borussia Dortmund was crowned Bundesliga
league champs with a 2-0 win at home against Nuremberg. Considering this is the club's first German
league title since 2002, we assumed these boys would honour our historic tradition of full time
chest festivities with pride.

Bundesliga 2010/11 Team of the 'Hinrunde' is a post from: Just Football
With the Bundesliga season recently getting back underway, rejuvenated after a
healthy 4-week winter break, we thought it about time to take a look back at the first half of the
season ('die Hinrunde') and pick out a team of the league's best performers.
It's one thing to have supporters or analysts tell you who the best players, teams, or leagues are.
Depending on who you ask or which metric you use, you can have endless arguments about quality. But
why not go directly to the source and ask the professionals themselves? After all, they have to
play the game week in and week out and see things on and off the field that spectators often don't
or can't.
A turgid first half turned into a blistering second half, including a six minute period where
Grosskreutz scored twice and Goetze scored a third for the league leaders. A late goal by Stefan
Kiessling could not even cosmetically cover up an abject performance from the home side.
- If you want to beat the team with the stingiest defense on the counter, you can't sit back and
allow the team with the most proficient attack to come at you all day.
