Got, Not Got: the unholy horror of the Frankenstein's monster football
sticker
There aren't many things in life that can cause man or boy as much alarm as a hastily recoloured
kit on a football card or sticker. For starters, there's the creeping sense of injustice as you see
through the sticker company's little ruse – spotting the iffy, last-minute airbrushing and
feeling soiled by the messy evidence of a crime.
Burnley 5 - Nottingham Forest 1 Forest already trailed 2-0 when Robbie Findley entered the game in
the 27th minute. They would be four goals down before Ishmael Miller scored for Forest in the 59th
minute. Burnley added a fifth goal in the 71st minute to finish off the scoring. Rangers 2 -
Kilmarnock 0 Rangers scored two minutes apart at Ibrox to take all three points in the only game on
the Scottish Premier.
So, anyone care to talk about Tuesday night? I wasn't privy to any of the goings-on or morbidly
curious enough to indulge in what you might call highlights, but the gentle murmurings about town
seem to murmur thusly: that Gomes was bad, GDS even more so and Pavlyuchenko a poor first-touch
away from being publicly lynched.

With lots of late drama last night at the City Ground in Nottingham, Newcastle again found a way
to win the game. Mehdi Abeid good game last night But it was in injury time of the added time when

In which David Beckham goes undercover as 'Ricky', a perfume salesman in a department store, for
a hidden camera sketch for the Ellen Degeneres show (in a similar vein to the massage parlour ruse
the pair pulled last year) and you know what? It isn't as horrible as it sounds.

God bless Manchester City, they're so silly...
For some reason unbeknownst to almost everybody, City have had their corporate buddies over at
EA Sports mock up an image of Samir Nasri 'scoring his first City goal' against yep, you guessed it
Manchester United.
Plenty to talk about today having something to actually discuss might take some getting used to,
but it's a welcomed change as the action picks up, both for Liverpool and our sliver of the
internet around here.

To say that the relationship between Notts County and Nottingham Rugby Football Club has been
transformed over the last eighteen months or so would be something of an understatement. In July
2009, having just acquired the club (to say that they bought the club would be misleading the level
of debt accumulated by Notts County under their ownership would seem to indicate that those behind
Munto never paid for anything), they promptly evicted the rugby club from Meadow Lane until a court
ordered that they had done so unlawfully.
Brace yourselves, everybody, because it's FA Cup fourth-round weekend in England (from here on out
known as the tremendous thirty-two). The FA Cup is the most exciting tournament in the country, and
there's always the chance for huge upsets in every round. We've got our share of big matches:
Everton host Chelsea at Goodison Park in what looks to be the choicest fixture of the round.
