Union

The Union has become well-known for its innovative use of social networking tools. The latest bit of cleverness is this: when their Facebook page gets 92,012 likes, they will unveil the new designs for the first and second kit. You can 'like' the Union by clicking here. As of this writing, there are only 6,500 'likes' to go.

The charitable efforts of professional sports leagues and teams are typically overlooked by their fans, yet they are an important component of the community outreach programs in which almost all leagues are involved. In addition to providing a way to give back to the community, local charitable efforts often provide teams with an outstanding opportunity to connect with fans and potential fans.

A while back, we helped NSC pal Jared Montz get out the word on their drive to raise money for Nothing But Nets and now he's provided us with a summary clip of the event outcome. Good stuff and something I think can grow in leaps every time it goes down. We had some great folks out there set the example for next time.

You can help by participating in the OSA World Juggle-a-thon to benefit Nothing Buts on World Malaria Day which is today, April 25th! Soccer players, fans and coaches everywhere are juggling to get better, juggling to save lives at 6pm their standard time anywhere in the world they have a soccer ball.

Every 45 seconds a child dies from Malaria. That is why we created the Online Soccer Academy World Juggle-a-thon to benefit Nothing But Nets. Soccer players, fans and coaches will juggle to get better, juggle to save lives at 6pm their standard time on April 25, 2011 - World Malaria Day.
