Britanya'dan nostaljik belki de türünün ilk örnekleri futbolcu kartları. Üstte 1907-1919 arasında Manchester United'da oynamış sol kanat George Stacey'nin 1909 tarihli bir kartı. Alttaki ise Britanya futbol tarihinin ilk süperstarlarından William "Billy" Meredith'e ait bir kart. United'dan tekrar City'e geçmiş olduğu döneme ait olduğuna göre tahminen 1921'e ait.
