After a majestic 3-2 win over Manchester City at Anfield last Sunday, Premier League leaders Liverpool now travel to Carrow Road to take on relegation threatened Norwich City.
The Reds are two points clear of Chelsea at the top of the table after ten straight wins in a row and manager Brendan Rodgers knows that an eleventh triumph will put his side within touching distance of winning the title this season.
As the last line of defence for struggling Norwich City, John Ruddy has had to be at his best to keep out some of the best strikers in the Premier League. He has, however, still had the misfortune of conceding the two goals of the season, an audacious forty-yard volley by Luis Suarez and a "ridiculous" team goal finished by Jack Wilshere.
In a sign of pure panic, Norwich City have sacked Chris Hughton and his backroom staff with just five games left in the season. The Canaries announced their youth coach Neil Adams, who guided the young Canaries to FA Youth Cup glory last year, has been named first-team manager.
After losing 1-0 ay home to West Brom at the weekend, Norwich have a five-point lead over third from bottom Fulham, who they pay this weekend.
Norwich City have sacked manager Chris Hughton with immediate effect.
The Canaries announced today that Hughton and coaches Colin Calderwood and Paul Trollope have been sacked, and that Neil Adams has been appointed as first team manager.
A statement from the club explained why they made the decision:
