Later today, I will have that 'fun Premier League post' that I promised was coming a few weeks
back. Sean and I put it together with a couple of NSC pals. Took a little longer than expected, but
it's ready now...#1 - I've posted my Q&A with USMNT/IK Start defender Clarence Goodson, who I had
somehow had never interviewed before last week.

Although people actually made attempts to tackle Maradona Mads Hansen recently scored what is
probably the best Norwegian Second Division goal we have ever seen. Then again, it might just be
the only Norwegian Second Division goal we have ever seen. Nonetheless, enjoy Mads' mad dribble.

The legend, whether true or not, is still enacted year in, year out by the people

World Cup hosts South Africa recalled controversial striker Benni McCarthy Thursday for
mid-November home friendlies against Japan and Jamaica. The scorer of a record 31 Bafana Bafana
(The Boys) goals was ignored for the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup in South Africa after shunning a
call-up for warm-up games against Norway and .

I think I've found someone who can solve the country's fiscal woes. Just one primary question: are
you at all concerned about an uprising?#1 - Get this. Well, maybe sit down first. You aren't ready
for it, no matter how tough you think you are. Please table any glass ewers you may be holding.
Your knees will wobble.

Is there is no rest for the World Cup-bound? In addition to tomorrow night's qualifier finale
against Costa Rica, the Yanks will march on to Aarhus in November for a friendly versus Denmark on
the 18th. There is also talk of matches in the spring against the Dutch and the English...to which
I say "bring it".

South Africa vs Norway. Can South Africa beat Norway on Saturday? I think Bafana Bafana fans,
who are a pretty optimistic bunch, already have this sick feeling in their stomach because they
know what another loss will mean to the morale of their team.

missed Aalesund's Kenneth Dorken's wild off-the-ball assault on Johan Arneng of Odd Grenland in
that case. Calm, calculated, and comical. Cheers to Garreth Cummins of the Football Supporters'

Dirty Tackle 25 September @ 01:19 AM EST
I don't know what Johan Ameng did to Kenneth Dokken to deserve this unprovoked, off the ball
attack (watch the middle of the screen) in the Norwegian Cup semifinal match between Odd Grenland
and AaFK, but it must have been pretty bad. I'm thinking something along the lines of taking a dump
in locker and then another in his shoe while he was cleaning up the first one.

When Ole Gunnar Solskjaer scored that goal against Bayern Munich, you probably felt you loved
him as much as you could love any other man without actually being gay. That was the best moment of
my life and Solskjaer gave it to us.
However, since then he's given us more reasons to love him: his strength and determination when
coming back from what might have been a career-ending injury for another player, his connection
with the fans which saw him become the only player to openly support MUST in our battle against the
Glazers, and his willingness to continue on with the club developing stars for the future in the
academy.

reason for Scotland going into their last group match with the Netherlands needing a victory to
stand any remotely realistic chance of qualifying for the Play-Offs in November, does he?

I settled down yesterday afternoon ready for one of those great footballing days that come along
every now and again. I had the prospect of 4 matches in a row to keep me entertained (including

opportunity to run the rule over a few players who have returned to regular football in the
Premiership and see just what Scotland could do.
