England's preparations for next year's World Cup in South Africa got off to a slow start yesterday as they were confidently beaten by the World No.1 side Brazil. Another Big One Defeated: Brazil 1 – 0 England

Brazil and England was going to be a reserve festival, as injuries took away many players from the match. Brazil had the responsibility to play better and add another match to the unbeaten streak against England that is 19 years-old.

End of qualifiers story: Brazil 0 – 0 Venezuela

See The Cup 14 October @ 10:57 PM EST

It wasn't the prettiest match in football history, nor was it supposed to be. Brazil had already qualified and Venezuela had almost no chances of qualifying (unless they beat Brazil 6-0 and Argentina beat Uruguay 9-0!), so it was what it was. Dunga did some experimenting and some things are definitely clear: Robinho should never come back, neither should Filipe Luiz, who plays anything but good football.

Down and out in La Paz

A lacklustre Brazil went down 2-1 in La Paz against Bolivia and so ended Dunga's team's 19 game unbeaten run.

Olivares and Marcelo Moreno had given the homeside a two-goal cushion before Nilmar pulled one back in the second-half. The combination of high altitude and poor attitude meant that Brazil rarely threatened and the whole match had that ‘end of season' feel to it.
