Tottenham bid £5m for former Liverpool goalkeeper Nikolay Mihaylov
Tottenham have launched a £5million bid to sign former Liverpool goalkeeper Nikolay Mihaylov.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has identified the Bulgaria international as the future No 1 successor to
Brad Friedel.
One of our opponents from last season's Champions League is the latest to be linked with the job
of replacing Brad Friedel as Tottenham's long term number one.
According to the Daily Mirror, Spurs are monitoring the progress of FC Twente's Bulgarian
international stopper Nikolay Mihaylov with a view to a move in January, or at the end of the
current English season.

Pepe Reina looks set to stay at Liverpool for next season, despite speculation mounting that he was
fed up with not winning trophies, according to The Sun.
The Liverpool goalkeeper appeared set to leave the Kop in the summer, with ex Liverpool goalkeeper
Nikolay Mihaylov and Hugo Lloris looking likely replacements, as well as a list of other names in
the pipeline.
Former Liverpool goalkeeper Nikolay Mihaylov has claimed Pepe Reina has wanted to leave the club
for "one or two years".
Bulgaria international Mihaylov, 22, was signed by the Reds in 2007 and loaned out to FC Twente in
a bid to secure a work permit.
He has since joined Twente on a permanent deal but, as he has now become a regular for his country,
he has claimed Liverpool retain an option to take him back to Anfield.
