The club has announced that Tom Carroll has joined Derby County on loan and will stay there
until the end of the season. Tom has featured heavily in our Europa League campaign and this looks
to be an ideal move for the player as Derby look to push into the play off places.
"We are delighted to welcome Tom on board.
Stoke City So when does a blip become a rut? And when does a slight worry become a deep-rooted
concern? Stoke have now lost their last five domestic games, and these have included games that
they would hope to have taken points from: QPR (h), Bolton (a), Newcastle (h, Liverpool (h) and
Arsenal (a). They [.
Okay, if the next England manager has to be English, who do we choose? Here are some of the
English manager currently employed as football managers (seems like a good filter), in order of
preference (some rational, some not):
Alan Pardew hmmmmmmmmmmm.
Lee Clark knows how to win, was a good player, should be a dark horse, but ideally would have
managed and succeeded in the Premiership.
Liverpool target Mason Bennett is poised for a shock senior debut with Derby County.
The 15-year-old forward has been scouted by a handful of top clubs in England, and has already
earned international recognition at U16 level.
"Mason is someone we have to be patient with, but we can't deny that we're very excited about him,"
said Rams boss Nigel Clough.
The Rams ate my homework Derby County youngster Mason Bennett is set to make his debut aged 15 this
weekend. He will become the Rams' youngest ever player in the process, but his first appearance is
a few days later than planned. Manager Nigel Clough had to shelve plans to include him in the squad

Ireland U19 defender Mark O'Brien has signed a four-year deal with Derby County
The 18-year-old Dublin born international has seized his chance in the first team this season,
featuring in all seven Rams games.
O'Brien has started six matches at centre-half, starting in place of the injured Shaun Barker in
five of the club's six Championship matches.
Doncaster Manager Sean O' Driscoll may be the only man save from the chop.
The Championship season got under way Friday night with Ian Holloway's Blackpool beating Hull
City 1-0 the the seasons opener, but how many managers will be given their P45′s
before the end of the season?

If Derby County have stuttered to another unconvincing season, prolonging Nigel Clough's honeymoon
period to the lengthiest in history this side of Alex Ferguson (remember his poor start from the
late eighties?), Saturday's defeat against Reading caught my attention for the performances of two
galacticos.
Derby County is keen to take Liverpool defender Daniel Ayala on loan again next season.
The Rams plan to ask Liverpool about the possibility of the Spaniard making a return to Pride Park
in the 2011-12 campaign.
Ayala's current loan runs to the end of the season and he has impressed since he joined Derby in
February.
Derby County have signed Liverpool goalkeeper Brad Jones on loan until the end of the season.
The Rams have brought in the 29-year-old as a replacement for Matt Duke, who has been recalled by
his parent club Hull City.
Manager Nigel Clough told the Rams website: "Brad fits the bill perfectly.
According to Andy Cryer at the Lancashire Telegraph, Derby County are looking
to permanently sign Blackburn goalkeeper Frank Fielding, whose
loan with Derby expires soon. Derby boss Nigel Clough said,
"We knew at the time Frank could not complete the season, but it was important to get him in for
these games obviously with a view to trying to secure a deal in the summer on a permanent
basis.
Liverpool's Daniel Ayala will not be joining Derby County on loan until later in February according
to the Rams official website.
The defender, who has been on loan at Hull City earlier in the season, was expected to join the
Rams until the end of the season but he is still recovering from a hamstring injury so any deal
will be delayed.
I remember the days when the Scots fellers in my Forest team would celebrate Burns Night. Haggis,
neeps and tatties. That's what they went on about all day long. Sometimes, I wished they'd get
together and write a book, and call it: ‘101 Things to do With a Dead Sheep'. Then maybe they'd
bloody well shut up about it [.
Derby County is hoping to wrap up a loan deal for Liverpool centre-half Daniel Ayala.
Ayala, 20, was on loan with Hull City earlier this season and the Tigers are eager to see him
return to the club.
But Rams manager Nigel Clough told BBC Radio Derby: "We are trying for Daniel. He has had a
hamstring injury so he is getting fit.
From the people who brought you a nil-nil draw with Millwall, Derby County Football Club are proud

According to the Geman newspaper Nürnberg Zeitung, Toronto FC are also interested in Marek
Mintal. In the report, FC Nürnberg Sports Director Martin Bader confirms the interest in Mintal

tight-lipped yesterday and would not comment on the speculation surrounding his future.
