This was the definition of a game of two halves from Forest, a pretty poor quality first half in
which an early goal gifted to Middlesbrough caused our hosts to play a pretty calculated game
throughout. The second half belonged to the Reds and certainly on balance of chances, whilst I'm
pleased with a draw [.

Over 3,000 Reds will be making the trip up north to the Riverside Stadium to cheer on Forest
tomorrow. That in itself is probably testament to the cautious optimism that is starting to
ferment gently around the City Ground. Few are getting too carried away, but the fact we go up to
Boro above them [.

If reports are to be believed then Forest are mobilising to buy out the Polish international's
contract with Polonia Warszawa. The midfielder has shown some fantastic glimpses of his
capabilities and has really hit the ground running in English football, so this will be news of
considerable delight to Forest fans, certainly this one!

Nottingham Forest 1 Bristol City 1 It was the case of two immovable objects in the first half, as
Gary Johnson decided to pack midfield and so did Billy Davies! It was actually the visitors who
broke ranks first to attack which opened up the game in the second half, and two late goals [...]

I know I often rightly get pulled up for being a pessimistic bugger, but surely this impressive run
of results (and indeed, for the most part, performances to go with them) has to come to an end
sooner or later. With wee Billy a candidate (albeit with some stiff competition) for the monthly
managerial accolade, [.

Cardiff City 1 Nottingham Forest 1 All runs must come to an end, and it seemed that would be the
case today in rainy Welsh Wales before Lewis popped up to unleash a left footed strike just into
stoppage time to give the reds a draw which I think on balance is deserved, but in [...]

Half-forgetting to do this has given me the advantage of being able to see the other Championship
results come in today. May I be one of the many men in Red who is surely raising a glass tonight
to congratulate Roy Keane on registering his first league win as Ipswich boss. Here's to you,
Roy! [.

I've been on a bit of a Forest book reading phase at the moment, speaking of which congratulations
to Jason who won the competition to have a signed copy of '150 BC: Cloughie the Inside Stories'
courtesy of the very generous author, Dave Armitage. I'm confident it will be a prize he'll enjoy
greatly!

Hallelujah it's raining t-shirts.. tacky gimmicks like this (and the sheep masks before them)
rarely ever turn out to be a good idea in my experience. In case you weren't in Pride Park for

Crystal Palace 1 Nottingham Forest 1 A fairly laboursome game was always likely with managers like
Davies and Warnock in charge of the two clubs they're both fairly well-versed in employing spoiling
tactics to inhibit the other side, and this was pretty much the order of the day at Selhurst Park
yesterday.

It wasn't a classic by any stretch, but a 1-1 is a result I'm quite content to leave Selhurst Park
with. And let's face it, leaving that place is always a highlight! Whilst the Reds probably enjoyed
the lion's share of possession, chances were limited so it was no small relief to see David
McGoldrick get [.

I must admit I'm rapidly losing interest in 2018-World-Cup gate in Nottingham. A few weeks ago
Councillor Kay Cutts of the County Council spread her odiousness around the local media, and
attempted to unbalance the scheme the City Council, Rushcliffe Borough Council and Forest have been
concocting.

Forest travel to South London safe in the knowledge that the 'flag-gate' nonsense has now been
dealt with by our ponderous authorities. Both Forest and Derby have been fined (part of which is
suspended) a nominal amount, and Tyson has been fined £5k and given a suspended two-match ban.Â

Nottingham Forest 1 Newcastle United 0 Billy Davies called for the fans to back the team, the fans
