It seems odd to me, but over the last few weeks I've seen Aaron Ramsey come in for a lot of
criticism, especially on the angst-spewing machine that is Twitter. The main bone of contention
seems to be that he has become an automatic first XI pick for Arsene this year, despite the fact
that he has not contributed enough to the team.
After a full week of news both on and off the pitch, Tottenham centre half Younes Kaboul
identified the 3-1 win over Wigan as a return to form after some indifferent results of late.
Younes played a full part in the win and was unlucky not to open the scoring on two occasions
before Gareth Bale and Luka Modric sealed the win.
The departure of Mohamed Zidan from Borussia Dortmund has opened the door of opportunity for
U.S. Under-23 national team forward Terrence Boyd.
With Zidan having moved to Mainz during the transfer window, Boyd and fellow youngster Marvin
Duksch have been summoned from their respective reserve teams by head coach Jurgen Klopp.
The really good news after the game today is that the Yohan Cabaye injury is not too bad, and
Alan Pardew thinks he should be fit for our next game at Craven Cottage next Saturday. Shaun

After our 3-0 win against Bolton put us on the same points as City again, ahead of their game
against Wigan on Monday, Patrice Evra reckons we will win the league.
"Everyone's coming back and in great form," Evra told MUTV. "We still have some
injuries but I think when everyone is back fit, it will give us the strength to win the
title.

Newcastle's next game is against QPR next Sunday, in an early kick off game and they sacked

Editor's note: At the end of the 2010 season, we posted a series of season reviews of every
Philadelphia Union player. Over the past several weeks PSP continued with a review of the 2011
season. We conclude with a review of Peter Nowak's 2011 season.
Jay Spearing insists Liverpool will come back stronger when they return to Manchester City in the
Carling Cup.
The 23-year-old midfielder was part of the side that lost 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday
night in the Premier League, sinking without a trace despite City going down to 10 men in the
closing stages.
I'm not feeling at all witty this morning and the things I have to say are mostly obvious and
not earth shatteringly different. What I want to know most of all is what on earth happened
in our dressing room at half-time yesterday? We had played a very
acceptable game up until then, we were good for our lead and yet we didn't come onto the pitch with
any belief that we were going to win the game.
Kenny Dalglish delighted with Liverpool's three goals from few chances

Suárez presents a dilemma Kenny Dalglish denied he will have a selection problem for Liverpool's
next game, against Manchester City on Tuesday, with Luis Suárez available again after suspension,
though he did concede it was ironic to score three times against Newcastle in a game where very few
chances were created.

Last week when Manchester City lost at Chelsea (much to my delight I must admit) the media
talked about how important it would be for City to bounce back immediately after a defeat. Because
that was the mark of a big team. The next game City won. With a [.
During Alan Pardew's press conference yesterday afternoon, the Newcastle manager said he was
only concentrating at the moment on the game at Norwich City tomorrow. Mike Williamson back for
Swansea game Alan was asked what the situation would be for the next game against Swansea, and
who might be fit for that next home game game, but Alan insisted he wanted to concentrate on [.
There are three reasons as to why Chelsea's form has improved in recent weeks and they are:
- Picking a settled side
- Playing a deeper defensive line
- Oriol Romeu
I guess it's always difficult at a big club like Chelsea to keep everyone happy. We have some big
names here that would walk into other Premier League sides to command regular first team starts so
it's always going to be hard and it would be easy to rotate players.
Mike Williamson is about two weeks away from his return to full training at Newcastle. Mike
Williamson -- back in two weeks Alan Pardew is facing up to a mini injury crisis at Newcastle
with Steven Taylor out for the season and Fab Coloccini missing the next game at Norwich City
this Saturday.
Maxi Rodrigues scored his second goal in nine days against Chelsea on Tuesday night as Liverpool
recorded a comfortable win at Stamford Bridge, yet despite his fantastic record over the last nine
starts, the Argentinean still struggles to get into the team.
Let's look at the facts: In the last 9 starts, Maxi has scored 10 goals and provided 1 assist.
Sodium takes the opener 2-0.

Craig Bellamy and Maxi Rodrigues have spent more time warming the bench than playing this season,
but both started against Chelsea on Sunday, and both played a vital part in an excellent Liverpool
victory. Clearly, having Maxi and Bellamy in the starting line-up works, so Kenny Dalglish surely
has to stick with them for the Man City game this Sunday.
There is always a collective crossing of fingers whenever Ledley King takes to the pitch these
days but so far the club captain has enjoyed a largely injury free start to 2011-12 by his
standards. He needs to play 20 games in order to guarantee a new contract at the end of the season
and if he stays in good enough condition over the next few weeks, he could be well on course to hit
that mark by the end of the year.
Kenny Dalglish quizzed about Luis Suárez at press conference video
The Liverpool manager responds curtly to questions about his striker Luis Suárez's charge of
racism from the FA, before moving on to talk about the striker's four goals while on international
duty for Uruguay, Liverpool's form so far this season and what he expects from their next game at
Chelsea.
In a grotesque display of gargantuan imbecility earlier today, FIFA's pernicious President Sepp
Blatter vomited out the sickening opinion that there is 'no racism in football'.
When asked by CNN World Sport if he thought there was racism on the pitch, the man who runs world

It's worth noting that Sepp Blatter is now 75 and could very well be in the process of losing
what little capacity for thought he had in the first place. Which isn't really an excuse, but it at
least explains his devolution. And stance on the concept of racism in football. Which is sort of a
non-concept and if it does exist, can be solved "with a handshake".
Sepp. Again. FIFA president Sepp Blatter has offered some advice to players who fall victim to
racist abuse on the pitch. In his own inimitable style, Sepp suggested that anyone who experiences
racism on the pitch should shake hands with their opponent and accept that football is a game. He
said: "There is no racism, [.

Sorry. Forgot who was coaching. Jurgen Klinsmann (obviously influenced by our latest P2010
Index) cools it on Beckerman and gives the nod to Edu and Bradley in central midfield. The
back line will look a bit of a throwback, with Cherundolo,Onyewu, and Bocanegra all starting
Timmy Chandler will hold down left back.
Anthony Brooks in Action for the U-20s
One of the newer faces in the U-20 Men's National Team pool is John Anthony Brooks, who goes by

The last few minutes of the match at Craven Cottage were difficult to bear for those Spurs fans
with the healthiest of hearts so it's certain it wouldn't have been pleasant viewing for manager
Harry Redknapp – a fact that Joe Jordan acknowledged after the game.
"Never mind the goalmouth scramble, that last half hour will have been a good test for Harry,"
Joe said after the match.
Ledley King has been speaking to the press this week about his own future and the expectations
of his club for the 2011-12 season. King hopes that it will be Spurs that mount the biggest threat
to the Manchester sides this campaign.
"I hope we can become the biggest challenger to the Manchester teams," King said in the Evening
Standard.
Kenny Dalglish is convinced Liverpool are close to rediscovering the ruthless streak that will
kick-start their season.
The Reds were held to a stalemate by Swansea City on Saturday afternoon despite creating countless
openings.
However, Dalglish remains confident his players will find the cutting edge to improve on their
chance-conversion ratio and end their run of draws in L4.
"They score a lot of late goals, they never say die, especially with this Sounders team, they're
a strong team and until that final whistle blows they will be in the game for sure" Frank Yallop

If there is anyone who knows that it's not really over until it's over it would be coach Frank
Yallop of the San Jose Earthquakes, who talks with us about his experience when his 2003 team were
down 4-0 on aggregate going into the final second half of the 2 game playoff series and went on to
win the series by a goal.

I would love to play with Lionel Messi. But Messi is an incomplete player because he can't use

Only a person who follows football from a distance, and really into the details of the game would
say such a comment.
Daniel Agger is hoping to keep his place in the Liverpool side after an injury-hit spell at
Anfield.
The Dane, who has suffered from a number of injuries since joining the Reds from Brondby in 2006,
has featured regularly for Kenny Dalglish's side this season and made his 100th Premier League
appearance in Saturday's 2-0 win against West Brom.
I'm not trying to make one of those posts that exist solely to generate pageviews, but I'm
seriously wondering if it's time for Riise to start the next game on the bench.
What is he offering at this point that is so unique that different looks through Briggs or Baird
or Kelly can't provide?

Lucas believes Liverpool will continue to improve over the course of the season as new players
settle in and others are welcomed back from injury.
The Reds have made a solid start to the new campaign and are currently fifth in the Premier League
after playing out a 1-1 draw with fierce rivals Manchester United at Anfield on Saturday.
Ah, sleep. That's the stuff.
We start this morning with Arsene Wenger saying pretty much what I said yesterday. There is
nothing more important than the next game. At his press conference yesterday, he said:
What we are hopeful for and what we can achieve is to win our next game.
Thank god the break for the internationals is over and we have our Premier League football back!.
Boring isn't it when you have to wait for two weeks for Chelsea's next game, especially after we
gave our performance of the season away at Bolton in our last game!.
So with that in mind and with a very difficult game ahead of us on Saturday I just wondered who
would AVB decide to start with on Saturday?
I posted the other day asking for your judgement on how AVB has started here as Chelsea manager. If
you haven't seen it, please click this link to take you there.
AVB himself is featured on the Official Chelsea Website and was asked about his and our start to
the season and said:
"I think things have been going okay.
With three weeks left there are still seven playoff berths on the line. Many teams can clinch in
the next game while one hopes to hold on to their slim hopes.
FC Dallas will clinch a berth in the MLS Cup Playoffs if:
