Lauren Silberman, a 28-year-old from New York City, will make history March 2 when she becomes the first female to ever participate in a regional NFL Draft Combine according to NFL.com.
Silberman, who haskicked a 40 yard field goal but never played competitive football, will tryout as a kicker.

Seattle Sounders Women have signed US Women's National Team forward Alex Morgan pending official
USSF/CSA approval, the team announced today.
"Alex is a world class player who has proven herself well beyond her 22 years.
After another weekend of play, the Los Angeles Sol (7-1-3) remain atop the WPS standings.
Camille Abily and PUMA spokeswoman Marta lead the team with six and four goals respectively.

U.S. Women's National Team head coach Pia Sundhage has named a 21-player roster to face Japan on
May 20 at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, Texas (7:30 p.m. CT) and on May 23 at Rio Tinto Stadium in
Sandy, Utah (4 p.m. MT).
The roster to face Japan is chock-full of veterans, including team captain Christie Rampone,
