Manchester United responded well to keep up with Chelsea as they saw off Everton 3-0 at Old
Trafford in last night's late kick off, and this win now bring them 5 points behind leaders
Chelsea, and back to the second place following Arsenal's defeat at Sunderland, but with still a
game in hand for the [.

The draw for the 2012 Euro's in Poland and Ukraine will not be held until February 2010, but
UEFA has already conformed the seeds for the draw.
With the Republic of Ireland, Scotland and Northern Ireland all in Pot Three, the likelihood of
England drawing one of them is 38%. We could also see a repeat of the World-Cup playoffs games
between the Republic of Ireland and France.

Today's lesson: Remember to turn your flash on when you come out of an elevator and find
yourself staring at Chelsea's starting XI. Even still, I like how blurry Joe Cole fancies up his
warm-ups with that scarf.

Randomly ended up having lunch beside a former Wolves executive (who had no delusions of the
club staying in the Premier League).

The Africa Cup of Nations group stage draw was released on Friday at the Talatona Convention
Centre in Luanda with the hosts Angola being drawn in a somewhat easy Group A alongside Algeria,
Mali and Malawi. This tournament will be a must win for the 'Palancas Negras' after they failed to
reach the Finals of the FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

Looking more and more like we'll be a Europa League squad, both this season (probable) and next
(also probable when you win 1 out of 10 matches and draw against the likes of Birmingham and Man
City at home)... and if we aren't careful, it could be even worse. I don't want to get too
dramatic, [...]

Many are surprised by the play Thierry Henry got away with in the World Cup playoff between
France and Ireland. If you are not aware of the incident, Henry clearly was guilty of an
intentional handball in the box at a critical moment in the second half. France was down a goal
at the time of the non-call and the play resulted in a goal for Gallas and an assist from
Henry.

Fridays always have the potential to bring better news on the injury front, what with Wenger's
press conference, and there was certainly plenty of good news today.
From a list that that seemed earlier on this week to be mushrooming out of control, things now
look a bit more normal, don't they?

Many people have been calling for the France v Rep. Ireland game to be replayed, but I'm not too
sure if this will be possible. Sure, I think the game wasn't fair and France don't deserve to go to
the World Cup, but I'm not sure if you can simply decide to replay this match how can it be
considered to be fair, when bad refereeing decisions affect matches all the time, I don't quite
understand how this match can warrant a replay when others don't.

Right then, whilst I'm here I might as well sort this shit out.
First things first, I WANT the game to be replayed. Having said that it would be an absolute
travesty if FIFA ordered a rematch of the game, as it would set an extremely dangerous precedent in
football whereby the result on the pitch isn't final.
