Reggie shows the ball how to bow at his feetEvery club has one of them now and
again. A colourful and flamboyant character who has such a lofty opinion of their own skills that
they can't help but tell the world. Often this can be an endearing quality to fans but only when
there is actual skill to back it up.
Josh Gatt is not a player many American soccer fans have seen play, but he is already considered
one of the best young Americans playing in Europe.
The speedy Michigan native has enjoyed an outstanding start to his professional career, going
from 18-year-old newcomer to 20-year-old transfer target, having already made one upward move from
Austrian club SCR Rheindorf Altach to Norwegian champions Molde.

Add Tim Ream to the list of Americans on the move this winter. According to reports, the New
York Red Bull defender has received his work permit, clearing the way for a permeant move to
Bolton.
Ream would leave the New York Red Bulls on a transfer worth £2.

The last time the U.S. Women's National Team competed in a CONCACAF qualifying tournament, they

A former trialist, a former Uruguay World Cup national team player and a Generation Adidas #1
pick headline the strongest positional set of Seattle Sounder FC. Sigi uses these men to be the
playmakers on the outside, each in their own way. Two are used to chase long balls, only one is a
traditional crosser and all tuck into take shots.
Liverpool head back out on the road, visiting the West Midlands in search of their second
consecutive win in league. Success away from Anfield has been easier to come by, with Kenny
Dalglish's squad winning more at opposition venues than they have at home. Alex McLeish's squad are
level on points with Norwich City in ninth and have earned eleven of their nineteen points at Villa
Park despite losing two of their last three.
Mauro Rosales enjoyed an outstanding first season in Major League Soccer, leading Seattle's
high-powered offense and earning MLS Newcomer of he Year honors in the process.
The Sounders rewarded Rosales outstanding debut, and secured his services in the process,
signing the 30-year-old playmaker to a multi-year contract.
Jamie Redknapp: Luis Suarez is on fire... let's not drive him out
Luis Suarez has had some unflattering criticism recently. He has replaced Mario Balotelli as
public enemy No 1 but he is the most exciting newcomer in the Barclays Premier League for many a
year.

The black and white are coming off a very good 1-1 away draw at Old Trafford last weekend and

Ladies, gentlemen, we have now entered the last 24 hours of the 2011 MLS Season. It's been a
good one, perhaps one of the best, and, as we prepare for the final in LA, I'm sure we all have our
bets on which team will take the cup. But first, let's catch up on the results of MLS's annual
awards.

Justin Mapp reflects on the 2011 season,
"I think I've been on some pretty good teams. This Union team was maybe as rewarding as any
season because of how much we improved and got better in a short amount of time. We made the
playoffs and that was a huge step for the franchise.

Kasey Keller won't be the only Seattle Sounders player with an end-of-season award this
year.
Mauro Rosales won the MLS Newcomer of the Year award on Tuesday, beating out a class of more
than 80 players that made the jump to MLS from leagues abroad this past year.
Not too many people had heard of Mauro Rosales when it was announced the Seattle Sounders had
signed the former River Plate, Ajax and Newell's Old Boys midfielder. After posting five goals and
13 assists in his first MLS season, though, that's clearly no longer the case as he was named Major
League Soccer's Newcomer of the Year.
MLS announced the finalists for individual awards today. Three Seattle Sounders graced the
lists. Coach Sigi Schmid will battle the only coach with a better regular season record (Bruce
Arena) and a worst to first performance by Peter Vermes in Kansas City. There is no surprise to see
Kasey Keller on the keeper short list with Kevin Hartman and Faryd Mondragon (maybe
surprising).

So, Ibrahimovic wrote a book in which he cries about how mean Mr. Pep bullied his existence and
shattered his dreams. Because, you know, we can't expect him to be over it over a year later. Well
I'm here to pick his whining apart quote by quote... starting from where he begins by pointing
fingers at Messi (oh, this is going to be fun):
"Playing at Barca was a childhood dream and I was walking on air.
U.S. Soccer released the roster of players called up by Jurgen Klinsmann and there are some
interesting choices. Both Landon Donovan and Kyle Beckerman are on the roster and are apparently
expected to be in camp regardless of whether or not their team makes it to MLS Cup. Reportedly
Klinsmann will be releasing that player after the match against France in order to let them return
to the United States and prepare.

Jurgen Klinsmann continues to use his pipeline to Germany for talent with his latest roster
selections for the United States games against France and Slovenia. No less than five players born
in Germany are on the roster, including newcomer Alfredo Morales who received his first senior team
call up.
State players collected several individual awards Tuesday as the first college women's soccer
all-conference teams of the season were announced.
UW-Milwaukee dominated the Horizon League honors: Senior forward Sarah Hagen (Appleton
North) was named the league's Player of the Year for a record third consecutive season and was the
Offensive Player of the Year, junior goalkeeper Jamie Forbes was the co-Defensive Player of
the Year and Goalkeeper of the Year, freshman defender Amy Kauffung (Hartland Arrowhead) was
the Newcomer of the Year and Michael Moynihan was the Coach of the Year.
Fredy Montero joins Nate Jaqua (10), Kasey Keller (09) and Pat Noonan (07, with Revolution) as
current Seattle Sounders who earned the Player of the Tournament award from TheCup.US and North
American Soccer Reporters. Montero helped the Sounders to their historical third straight US Open
Cups by hitting game winners in the quarters, the semis and the Final.

A world class strike from Clint Dempsey and solid goal keeping from Tim Howard was the difference
as the United States beat Honduras 1-0 in Miami. Staying true to his recent formation of choice,
Klinsmann had the United States in a 4-3-3 formation with Altidore up top, Shea on the left wing

The U.S. men's national team will play its fourth match under new head coach Jurgen Klinsmann
and will be looking for its first victory under the German manager as the Americans take on
Honduras at Sun Life Stadium (6pm, Fox Soccer Channel/Univision).
The Americans are 0-2-1 under Klinsmann, but the United States will look to break through
offensively after some struggles to score in recent matches.
The scoop from Day Two ...
- Edson Buddle took part in both training sessions after arriving Tuesday evening. Juan Agudelo
and Tim Ream got in for the afternoon session.
- Both Jozy Altidore and Jonathan Spector participated in both sessions, confirming they will
both be available for selection this weekend.
For some it was the sort of day where one points to the end result—a victory at Goodison—as
being enough, as being the only thing that really matters after a far from convincing performance.
There was Luis Suarez, who scored a goal in the end though his touch often seemed heavy and his
play a step off the pace.
Philadelphia Union have a very short rest period before Sunday's game vs. Chivas USA, just two

Arsene Wenger has tipped midfielder Mikel Arteta to become an Arsenal great by praising the
former Everton playmaker as a 'complete' player.
Arteta was signed as a replacement for compatriot Cesc Fabregas, who vacated his position as the
Gunners' skipper by securing a move to boyhood club Barcelona earlier this summer.
Guest Writer Anthony Lopopolo AC Milan will attempt to re-establish a winning record at home in the

Tonight the New England Revolution will get set to take on the Philadelphia Union at PPL Park in

Germany is the first team to qualify for the Euro 2012 finals after wrapping up a perfect run
behind goals from Ozil, newcomer Goetze, Schurrle and forgotten man Podolski. Goetze actually had
another setup in the 8 minutes of action he saw that could have resulted in a hat-trick for Ozil,
had Ozil not scuffed it over the net.
Jeremiah Makes Case For Mauro Rosales As MVP
Also with an intriguing story about an agent pitching the player in a men's room. For me though
this is the quote that should be able to sway more players to come to MLS;
"I pushed all the benefits of playing here: excellent training facilities, a safe atmosphere
for players and their families, paychecks that don't bounce, etc.

So tonight the US begins yet another new era as Klinsi's boys take on Mexico in Philly at 8pm CST
tonight (also on ESPN2/3 and Univision). While I always want to see a win at home against Mexico,
this isn't about the win, but rather about who steps up. I expect a nearly full scale turnover in
the lineup around halftime by the US, so we should see some playing time from USMNT newcomer Hamid

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution fell 2-3 to Chivas USA at Gillette stadium on an
historic night for the franchise. The match featured the MLS debuts of the Revs' first-ever
Designated Player, Milton Caraglio, and also their first homegrown signing from the academy

Chivas received excellent contributions from Nick LaBrocca (1 goal, 1 assist) and Alejandro
Moreno (2 goals) and managed to capitalize on defensive lapses from New England.
