Tottenham Hotspur 5-0 Newcastle United Premier League 11th February 2012
Harry Redknapp's charges gave their boss the perfect homecoming present, as they presented their
exhonerated manager with a superb 5-0 win against Newcastle.

This one's for JS; a GIF or two of Blackburn winger Junior Hoilett's awful, downright shameful
attempted penalty con against Newcastle last night that eventually led to Ryan Taylor getting
booked for having the gumption to be majorly pissed off by the Canadian's little flop.

Blackburn Rovers 0-2 Newcastle United Premier League 1st February 2012

Newcastle halted their recent decline with a very valuable away victory at Ewood Park.

"I gave a free-kick against you because I hate you and your big head of lovely big
hair"
Newcastle were always going to face their biggest test when the Africa Cup Of Nations robbed
them of two of their star performers this season, Demba Ba and Cheik Tioté, and judging on today's
result, the Magpies could face a difficult month.

Hatem Ben Arfa, the Magpies' diminutive young winger is to be sued by rapper and fellow
countryman Abd Al Malik after the French international claimed that, many moons ago, the musician
had led him into an Islamic sect.

This is, quite simply, the most confusing and harrowing thing I've ever seen on the
internet...
'Thanks' (in the loosest possible terms) to Pies fan Luther for the tip-off.

First things first: Sincere apologies for that god-awful pun. I tried to rise above it, and
failed. Miserably.
Anyway, Newcastle inflicted defeat upon Mark Hughes in his first game in charge of QPR, with a
neat solo effort from Demba Ba's deputy Leon Best proving to be the difference between the two
sides at the Sports Direct 80% Off Insane Spring Sale Arena.
By Chris Wright
It's already been well and truly scotched by his agent, but the heftiest kernel of transfer
tripe this morning was a rumour appearing in the Times, The Sun and the Daily Mail that Newcastle
were willing to stump up between £10-£15 million to bring Andy Carroll back to Byker Grove and
that Liverpool may be tempted into cutting their loses on their £35 million lump.
By Chris Wright
Time to squeeze in another belated and bloomin' astonishing wonder goal from the FA Cup third
round on Saturday, namely Newcastle winger Hatem Ben Arfa's meandering solo effort against
Blackburn a goal Toon boss Alan Pardew has since branded 'the greatest ever scored'.
By Chris Wright
"Ba! Huh! What did he sign for? Absolutely nuthin'! Sing it again
y'all!"
16 goals in his last 16 Premier League appearances, 15 league goals in total this season (over
half of Newcastle's cumulative haul), something like 24 in 28 since his move to England.

It's not been a good few days for Manchester United? Four days after slumping to a home defeat
against lowly old Blackburn, United found themselves on the end of a relative 3-0 tonking at the
Sports Direct North East Regional Distribution Centre which gave their title aspirations yet
another toe-punt in the undercarriage.

Liverpool 3-0 Newcastle United Premier League 30th December 2011
There was much to be thankful for at Anfield on Friday night, if you were a Liverpool fan, of
course. A brace from Craig Bellamy and a goal-scoring return to action for captain Steven Gerrard
fired the Reds, if only temporarily, into the top five.

Newcastle 0-3 Chelsea Premier League December 3rd 2011
Chelsea eased a little bit more of the pressure on their wiry manager Andre Villas-Boas after
putting three past the Magpies at St James' Park. A revitalised Didier Drogba but the visitors
ahead on 38 minutes, heading home from a Juan Mata cross.
December looks to be an extremely important month in the Premier League, with several massive
matches that could shape the outlook of the title race heading into the new year and the second
half of the season.
There aren't any of those such matches this weekend, but a few surprises could be in store, with
some top sides facing tricky away ties.

I don't mind admitting it absolutely galled me that the sycophantic tools on the Match of the
Day sofa just flat-out refused to acknowledge and/or call-out Wayne Rooney's petulant slash at a
prone Fabricio Coloccini last night, despite watching replay after replay of the United meathead
poorly masking his errant boot as an attempt to prise the ball out from underneath the Newcastle
centre-half.

With Manchester United one up through Chicharito (or rather Chicharito's stomach/thigh), a
pretty naff penalty call from the assistant referee saw Newcastle nick a point at Old Trafford this
afternoon.
Referee Mike Jones quite rightly gave a corner when Rio Ferdinand's clean-as-you-like block
challenge saw Hatem Ben Arfa's cross squirt out of touch, only for Jones' assistant to overrule the
decision because the shimmering fairies dancing around his head told him to.

Manchester City 3-1 Newcastle United Premier League 19th November 2011
Two of their goals may well have come from the penalty spot, but nouveau riche Manchester City
were always in control of this top four clash against the surprise package of the 2011/12 season so
far, Newcastle United.

According to the Beeb, this 'ere jilted Newcastle fan has dug up and removed a commemorative
brick from outside what used to be St James' Park in protest over Mike Ashley's decision to award
the stadium's naming rights to himself last week and rebrand the ground as the 'Sports Direct
Arena'.
By Chris Wright
With Newcastle riding high in the Premier League, the cynic in me suggests that Mike Ashley may
have bided his time to announce that St James' Park is to be renamed with 'immediate effect' as an
exercise in PR damage limitation but there we go from henceforth, the Toon's ground will be
officially listed as the 'Sports Direct Arena'.

Newcastle United 2-1 Everton Premier League - 5th November 2011
Alan De Pardew's French renaissance keeps on going, with the Magpies overcoming Everton at St
James' Park to remain unbeaten and in third spot in the table.

Courtesy of a hat-trick from Demba Ba against the club he came within a dodgy knee scan of
joining last January, Newcastle beat Stoke 3-1 on their own patch last night to climb up to the
nosebleeds of the Premier League table ending the evening in third place, a single point behind
Manchester United in second, meaning that Toon could climb to second should things go their way on
Saturday!

A 120th-minute Gael Givet header saw Blackburn pip Newcastle at the death of the death to nab
themselves a spot in the Carling Cup's last eight at Ewood Park last night though, if it's any
consolation (it's not), the Toon did score the two best goals of the night in Danny Guthrie's low,
25-yard zinger (2:18 mark) and Yohan Cabaye's picture perfect free-kick (2:29).
By Alan Duffy
Easily one of the best buys of the summer, midfielder Yohan Cabaye was the difference between
the two sides in a tight game at St James' Park.
The French international rifled home on 81 minutes after a Sylvain Marveaux pull-back. However,
Wigan will feel more than a little hard done by after putting an impressive display that will give
the Premier League strugglers some hope for the future.

Liverpool's 4-3 win against Newcastle United at Anfield in 1996 It remains a seminal game in
English football, full of end-to-end action and utter drama.
At the weekend, the two clubs came together once more, to recreate that classic game all for
the sake of a number of fabulous charities including the NSPCC, CHUF, Alan Shearer Centre, Sir

Newcastle United 3-1 Blackburn Rovers Premier League September 24 2011
Blackburn Rovers failed to build on last week's 4-3 win against Arsenal, going down 3-1 to
Newcastle at St James' Park.
The Magpies' summer signing Demba Ba was the star of the show, netting a hat-trick to keep
Newcastle's unbeaten start to the league campaign in tact.
By Alan Duffy
He may have barely kicked a ball for Newcastle, but according boss Alan Pardew, French winger
Hatem Ben Arfa can bring a missing creativity to the Magpies.
"Pards" said: "He's a player that can reach heights that other players can't reach, that
Heineken player if you like.
By Alan Duffy
Free from (in his opinion) the negative influence of former boss Gerard Houllier, England's
forgotten man Gabriel Agbonlahor netted his third goal of the season for Villa in their 1-1 draw
with Newcastle United.
Leon Best bagged the equaliser for the Magpies, with the midfield duo of Cabaye and Tioté
impressing again.
By Chris Wright
Admittedly, I didn't see the game but from what I've read this morning it seemed like Newcastle
were lucky to escape from Loftus Road with a point last night (goal-line clearances, Jay Bothroyd's
pap finishing, etc) as a new-look, post-deadline day QPR XI hit the ground running with, and I know
this may be a little hard to swallow, Shaun Wright-Phillips even putting in a decent, effective
shift.

Apparently inspired by the club's gaggle of French summer signings (imagine Gabriel Obertan in a
