behaving like the idiots they are. Many arrests, mostly local fans when it seemed like the

Both Ricky Villa and Ossie Ardiles spent time with the Fort Lauderdale Strikers. Villa featured
prominently in the 1983 NASL side alongside among others, Brian Kidd, Nene Cubillias and Ray
Hudson. Villa was such a hero among Argentine fans, I can still hear the cries of "Villa!" from the
stands at Lockhart Stadium over a quarter century later.

Nacional have sold last seasons Superliga leading scorer Nene to Italian club Cagliari for $4.5
million euro. Nene is said to have signed a four year contract with the Italian side and Nacional
may yet receive Danielle Magliocchetti on loan for the season as well.

Even though a number of big European clubs have been linked with a move for Karim
Benzema, it seems that the excellent striker will stay at Lyon for another year. Lyon's
president Jean Michelle Aulas is adamant that Benzema will not leave the club this
summer after speaking with the player's agent.

Nacional's Nene has claimed the Golden Boot in Portugal this season, holding off late season runs
for the boot by Sporting's Leidson and Benfica's Oscar Cardozo. Nene scored 20 goals in the
Superliga campaign which accounted for over 40% of Nacional's season total. Leidson and Cardozo
finished tied for second spot with 17 a piece
