It would appear the Seattle Sounders may be getting close to announcing details of their summer
friendly. A league source has confirmed to Sounder at Heart what Michael C. Lewis originally
tweeted that the Sounders' home game against Real Salt Lake will be moved from July 18 to Oct. 17
in order to accomodate an international friendly.
Two months after he was taken by the Revolution in the first stage of the Re-entry Draft, it
appears that left back Danleigh Borman won't be in Foxboro in 2012.
According to a report, the 27-year-old is close to returning to his native South Africa to play
for Pretoria-based SuperSport United.

With Thursday's acquisition of Albanian striker Hamdi Salihi as their second Designated Player,
D.C. United is making one thing abundantly clear: After spending the past few seasons breaking down
and rebuilding an aging roster, this team is once again ready to win now.
On Thursday, the New England Revolution contacted New England Soccer Today to deny the
claim of the unnamed source contained in the "Zerka Not Returning" article published on Feb. 1.
In the aforementioned article, the source told New England Soccer Today that Revolution
head coach Jay Heaps and general manager Michael Burns "never had serious discussions to try to
bring [Monsef] Zerka back.
Yesterday YA confirmed that Mix Diskerud was in negotiations with Gent, today the Belgian club has

Another major component of the Revolution attack will not be returning this year, as Danish
newspaper Jydske Vestkysten is reporting that Rajko Lekic has signed a six-month contract
with Lyngby. Terms of the deal will reportedly be published on Monday.
Lekic is the second Revolution striker this month to take his services elsewhere.
I know I've banged the drum about this before but in light of recent developments, I feel it needs
to be said again: Basel midfield maestro Xherdan Shaqiri is available for transfer right now for a
comparatively cheap price, and Liverpool would be mad to miss out on this golden opportunity to
sign the Swiss International.
Carlos Tevez's advisor, Kia Joorabchian is quoted in the English newspapers as saying that Tevez
will not be sold in the January transfer window:
"We've been in negotiations with three big clubs but I don't think they have reached the figures
Manchester City want. Carlos will remain at Man City until the summer.

Sportsmail strikes again. Though we may have to start giving the masked man/woman/thing a little
more credit on the back of breaking the Willian negotiations last week. This time around, the
Daily Mail's journo in the field, with a little help from the Mirror,
suggests Chelsea are ready to make key moves for both Paul Pogba and Gregory van der Wiel.
After weeks of rumours and hand-wringing negotiations, Martin Caceres finally returns to Juventus
from Sevilla on loan for the rest of the season. Juventus will initially pay €1.5 million and
an additional €8 million in the summer to make the move permanent. The Uruguayan defender was
already once on the books for Juventus during the disastrous 2009-10 season on loan from Barcelona;
however, due.
Judging by some tweets and information supplied by Juan David Duque, a 21 year old Colombian
left winger.
Lets start with what started all he rumors.
According to Goal.com Duque tweeted about being in negotiations with the Timbers and that he
would update everyone more this week, the article was posted on 1/23/12.
Reports have been coming through today that a permanent deal for Giovani dos Santos could be
tied up before the weekend. There has been much speculation about Gio's future since the transfer
window opened and according to Villareal's vice-president Jose Manuel Llaneza, Gio's White Hart
Lane misery could soon be at and end.
I initially filed this one under bullshit in my immensely well-organized mental
filing cabinet. It was first reported in the Daily Mail after all. That bummy rag may have
been on to something, though. In fact, they were probably dead-on.
Sincerest apologies, Mail.
Nearly four years ago Jamal Gay was a part of a stunning loss for the New England Revolution as
his side Joe Public FC (Trinidad & Tobago) crushed the Revs 6-1 on aggregate in a CONCACAF
Champion's League qualifier. Gay, who was just 19-years old at the time, scored Joe Public's
winning goal in its 2-1 home leg victory.
At the end of the 2011 MLS season, the conventional wisdom was that the images of David Beckham
raising the Anschutz trophy would be his last in a LA Galaxy uniform. Paris St-Germain, bankrolled
with the billions of their Qatari benefactors, were pushing hard for Beckham to join their team and
were willing to pay any price to have him.
At the exact time of writing (almost one thirty in the afternoon), we do not know whether
Darlington FC has been rescued or not. What we can say for certain is that a situation that may
have seen the club die at one minute to midday has been extended and that further negotiations are
now taking place and that a decision is due imminently over whether the club can be saved in its
current form or not.
The Newcastle Journal are reporting that the story about Aly Cissokho coming to Newcastle is
simply untrue. Eden Hazard - not coming to Newcastle We had wondered why Newcastle would
consider paying out £7.5M for a left-back when our major target has to be a center-back in
January, and apparently Pardew has around £8M available.
It's a story that has dominated the club over the past 10 days or so. Rumours began flying round
that Preston were interested in Graham Westley just a couple of days before the 3rd round FA Cup
tie against Reading. At first it just seemed to be rumours. But the rumours didn't stop. Instead,
they just gathered pace and it became clear at the beginning of the week that Preston were not only
interested in Westley, but that Westley was interested in Preston.
A fair few media outlets are reporting that, after a prolonged spell of negotiations, Gary
Cahill and Chelsea have finally agreed to the framework of a deal and the Bolton defender is
currently on his way to London to finalize this thing. Yeah, I'm still not that jazzed about this
one.
A sign of things to come?

Dijon have confirmed that, after a protracted series of negotiations, Gael Kakuta will be

Now it seems the agent of Demba Ba is talking about the transfer negotiations they are involved in,
to sell Newcatsle's Demba Ba. The Demba Ba management team is now headed by his brother, but
Armand Doorn is a member of that team and he said today that Mancsheter United were one of the

The latest from the Carlos Tevez transfer saga reveals that the striker has reached an agreement
with Italian giants AC Milan. According to Milan Vice President Adriano Galliani, an agreement
between Tevez, City and Milan has already been reached.
Of course this only creates more controversy as Milan's city rivals Inter are also thought to be
still interested in Tevez despite Milan's arrangement.
Word has begun circulating that Chelsea are expected to close the signing of Gary Cahill in the
next 48 hours. More, after the jump:

So, this one looks like it'll finally be finished. The worst-kept secret of the winter is coming
to its final hours, after an apparent break-through in negotiations took place Sunday evening,
during which Chelsea representatives were able to reach a consensus with Cahill's agent.
A few weeks ago, comments were made publicly about Michael Thomas coming to Kansas City. As
mentioned previously, the Notre Dame grad has played with multiple members of Sporting KC,
including Matt Besler and Seth Sinovic. Word out of Sweden is that Thomas will definitely not be
returning to club, Ljungskile SK.
Liverpool has held talks with the representatives of Jaguares striker Jackson Martinez.
The Colombia international, 25, has also attracted strong interest from Manchester City, Chelsea
and Arsenal but his club have raised the price since negotiations were opened in September.
He was originally available for a bargain £5.
Everybody knows that Robin van Persie has refused to talk about his new contract at Arsenal until
the end of the season, but there has been little mention of the same situation developing with Theo
Walcott. Both of them will have just 12 months left on their contract in June, but it seems that
negotiations [.

Re-Entry Draft on Monday.

Newcastle manager Alan Pardew seems worried he may be losing some of his top players again. Danny
Simpson wants to stay on Tyneside In a report we published earlier today Alan is concerned that
the contact negotiations ongoing with both Fabricio Coloccini, his captain, and Danny Simpson,
Newcastle's right back are dragging on.
Liverpool are the latest club to be linked with a move for Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin who
has reiterated his desire to move to the Premier League.
The Uruguay international was strongly linked with a switch to Chelsea over the summer but it
appears as though Andre Villas-Boas will now move to sign the cheaper option in Bolton centre-back
Gary Cahill.
"The negotiations with Miguel Montano are going well and we are very confident he comes
back."
Nick De Santis, Montreal Impact Sporting Director. The story is in French, but there are these
fancy translating tools that should give you the gist of the story. In any case, this is the most
concrete thing we've heard about Montano yet.
