After Warzycha benched the teams biggest threat for the teams biggest match
(what a dope!), it should have sent warning shots in the minds of everyone associated with MLS.
Former All Star, MLS Cup Winner, Boca Jrs. Legend and league MVP Guillermo Barros
Schelotto has just been asked to take a sizable pay cut by the Columbus Crew, to the tune
of $400k.

The team continues to undergo it's offseason makeover. Leo Krupnik, formerly of
Maccabi Haifa, has just signed on with Maccabi Netanya for an undisclosed sum. He appeared in only
three games, starting in two.
If you are keeping score at home, that is now 9 players that started 2009 with the Bulls, who
now find themselves elsewhere.

Big Apple Soccer, home of everything New York Soccer, reports speaking to "El Professor"
Juan Carlos Osorio about his move to Once Caldas. His reply?
"The offer is a very good offer," he said. "The club is a very good club. I am considering the
offer. However, I would like to stay in the United States.

If you were betting on Once Caldas of the Colombian Mustang division to be the first suckers to
hire the preeminent Professor of the 4-5-1, grab yourself a boobie prize kid.
Juan Carlos Osorio is a head coach once more. He takes on a squad that is
currently 8th in their table, with 7 wins, 7 draws and 4 ties, accumulating 23 goals for and 14
against in that time frame.

Leeds United, once tippy top dog of the First Division, has been relegated to the third division
for the first time in it's storied history. Today, a once ravaged squad stands as tippy top dog
again, having it's finances in order as well as their management, going undefeated in eight games,
and taking an early lead in the poll race for a Championship promotion.

The two times Curt Onalfo and Richie Williams were together in a playing

The Metro Reverse Curse lives.
What is the Reverse Curse? It is a temporary suspension of all footballing ability while wearing
a Metro Bull kit that is magically cured once a player switches kits to another club. There are so
many examples of this, but sticking to recent memory (and not in any order of importance at all);
Hunter Freeman leaves Red Bull and has become a regular starter in Norway,
Gabriel Cichero leaves Red Bull and becomes a valuable piece of their National
teams youth movement, Mike Magee has proven to be a key offensive cog in the
Galaxy's overall make up leading the team in assists, Diego Jimenez continues to
excel in Mexico, and notched two goals upon arriving back to his country after his RB
departure.

Dieter, Dietmar . . . close enough.
Dietmar Beiersdorfer, the new sporting director for worldwide Red Bull soccer operations,
has descended upon New York and has brought with him a cloud of speculation. Is he here to hire a
new GM? Perhaps weigh in on the coaching situation?

DC United have just announced the formal resignation of head coach Tom Soehn
from the organization. Soehn accumulated a respectable 36-30-24 MLS record, with a total of
55-48-31 in all competitions. So what cost him? Disappointing results in the face of high
expectations.

Jozy Altidore was excluded from the Hull City game with no explanation for his
absence to be found. But the young lass loves his social networking sites, so the mystery didn't
take very long to figure out. While Hull was already playing, Jozy sent his fans a little tweet to
explain what had happened:
"Apologize to the all of you.

Just in time for the election cycle, interim coach Richie Williams has received
a huge endorsement for the vacant head coaching position. And this vote of confidence holds a lot

This simple little story is blowing up!
From one team blog, to a couple soccer blogs, to a couple bigger sites, and now Columbus Crew coach
Robert Warzycha addressed Tyrone Marshall allegedly stamping on the penalty-kick mark at a press
conference.
"It's just ridiculous," an agitated Warzycha said today.

I was going to wait until Wednesday's former Wizards update for this, but decided it was too big of
news to not touch on, on it's own. Former Wizard, Diego Gutierrez, is going to be receiving a big
honor on Thursday. Gutierrez, who retired at the end of last season will be inducted into the
Humanitarian Hall of Fame in Boise Idaho.

The Red Bulls are on a losing streak. Seriously. But Chivas USA, who started the season off
rather dominantly, with a squad of relative unknowns, has fallen back down to Earth. The Goats have
lost their last five games in a row, recording no goals in a franchise worst 320 minutes.
Meanwhile, the Red Bulls scoring woes will only continue, with Juan Pablo Angel and
Macoumba Kandji out for this game.

Guess what? We are officially half way through the season.
Seriously.
The team stands at an embarrassing 2-10-3 record, totaling nine points, good for dead last in
the East. Most people would have thrown in the towel a long time ago. But if there is one long
standing tradition with this masochistic fan base it's that they always will come back for more,
and any glimmer of hope will be clutched onto till its attained or missed.

With a vital four game home stand completed, and only four out of a possible twelve points
attained, the Red Bulls must be at a loss. No matter how hard they play, or what they do, they
manage to find a way to defeat, no matter what. That, my friends, is the antithesis of a
winner.
Major League Soccer teams have all upgraded the quality of its football the past 4-5 years.

While riding a small wave of success into the Dynamo game last week, the Bulls suffered two
major set backs; the Jorge Rojas red card (and ensuing 2 game ban) and the injury
of right back Carlos Johnson. With a 2-6-3 record, and a third of the season in
the books, Osorio decided to make some sweeping changes in order to make up for
the losses.

Eight games into the season, the Red Bulls have found themselves at the bottom of the MLS
standings, beating out only FC Dallas for the leagues worst record. With only one regular season
win to hang their hats on, and a simmering fan base calling for their coaches head, it wouldn't be
beyond the realm of reality to perceive this coming four game home stand as the teams first
official "must win" series of games.

The struggling Red Bulls gift wrapped a win for the Galaxy (their first of the season) behind a
questionable red card and a lifeless performance. Once again, the Red Bulls came out in an

Mac Kandji lost somewhere on the left wing side (not to be seen most of the

MLS announced Wednesday that Valencia Everton will be the club to take on the Major League
Soccer All Stars in this years midseason classic. And of course, that would mean the return of
Metro hero, turned National Team anchor, Timmy Howard!

one of the top teams overall for the Premiership for two years running, but more recently, single
handedly eliminating the Red Devils of Manchester from the FA Cup semifinals with a thrilling
