Not many people expected the San Antonio Scorpions to have much success in their first season in
NASL.
They were wrong.
The Scorpions leapfrogged the Puerto Rico Islanders to take sole possession of first place in
the standings after beating them, 2-0, in front of 1,551 fans at Bayamon Soccer Complex on
Saturday.
