Marek Hamsik, King of Napoli

Dirty Tackle 12 October @ 02:14 PM EDT

Sometimes when a footballer spends many many years in a city and does well for its club, he becomes a local hero and gets reverence and perks usually reserved for a dignitary. Italian patrons

Since football knows no boarders and the intertwining of foreign players into Europe's top leagues leads to a melange of languages that need to be translated and sometimes translated again, there can be misunderstandings and unintended meanings to words and phrases that arise from time to time.

WHO IS EZEQUIEL LAVEZZI?

Soccer Pie 07 June @ 03:20 AM EDT

Even the strayed Argentinean sailor will probably be compared to Maradona in Naples. In this part of Italy Diego is the measure for everything, bigger than life and yet sometimes despised like the trash, piling up by the gate of the magnificent bay.
