Shunsuke Nakamura presented to Espanyol

The Espanyol Barca derby may prove to much more interesting with former Celtic playmaker Shunsuke Nakamura joining Espanyol. He was unveiled today in front of 6000 fans. He said he would have to be mentally and physically faster to compete in the more demanding Spanish league.

We can expect a duel between Nakamura and Iniesta although the Japanese at 31 years of age is off his peak while Iniesta continues to grow into one of the world's best attacking midfielders.

The Old Firm Derby

I love the Old Firm Derby. Without really caring who wins you know how it is I usually pull for Celtic, for four reasons:

1. Nakamura blows my mind.

2. They're always exciting in the Champions League (see Man Utd and #1; also, remember the Dida Tumble?)

3. The hoops. In the words of my favorite blogging cartoon cat, they're stone-cold unquestionable.
