I spent a significant amount of time reading through the FA's very detailed report on their decision to ban Luis Suarez for eight games. I would wholeheartedly advise anyone else interesting in this case to do the same, and certainly I would advise anyone to read it before commenting on the case in any forum.

I might have to be writing a bit this season. Things are exciting at the Roar and I am full of material. If anything I've been suffering the writer's block of someone with far too much to say. Seattle and Real Salt Lake are also the two teams with 7 wins against top 8 teams in MLS.

He is the darling of the aesthetes and rather unorthodox for a forward, meaning he will not be appreciated by all corners as, say, Javier Hernandez.

Great post by Neal, exploding some of the easy myths around Arsenal. And great comments everyone. I think you've hit on some interesting points. Let me add my $0.02: Mia Hamm First of all, if you don't know... now you know. Song He's unique amongst the Arsenal midfield that he's comfortable as a ball-winner.

The national team boys were gathered in Dortmund today (five of them had only to walk down the block) and they didn't waste any time getting up to all kinds of silly shenanigans. Determined to shatter any myths about German staidness whenever they are assembled, the squad hit ever greater heights of ridiculousness today.

Recently I got a chance to read Tobias J. Moskowitz and L. Jon Wertheim's book, Scorecasting: The Hidden Influences Behind How Sports are Played and Games are Won. For those that regularly read this blog you know I enjoy statistics and looking at the break down of them when it comes to the game. Moskowitz and Wertheim take an incredibly deep look into statistics and break down many of the stereotypes of sports that most fans think of.
