Manchester United have been very good at producing youngsters, with a very long line of players
such as Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Darren Fletcher. Even more recently, other
examples are Danny Welbeck, Jonny Evans and Darren Gibson. Here. we look at some of the other
players who have the potential to rise from the academy reserve sides, and though some mentioned
are not British like the players mentioned above, they can still become big Manchester United
stars.

It seems staying too much in Van Der Sar's shadow has taken a toll on Kuszczak and eventually
tension has settled down between the two keepers, although Sir Alex has tried to play down the
incident after Kuszczak was quoted on an interview with MUTV as: To be honest, I must say this and

Tomasz Kuszczak has stupidly given an interview with MUTV criticising Edwin Van der Sar for not
helping him enough and suggesting that the Dutch goalie doesn't like him.
Oh dear.
"I must say this, Edwin doesn't help me. Maybe he doesn't like me," said Kuszczak.
"He's got more experience and many more games under his belt.

"You keep caning me and then you ask for interviews," Owen said, turning down requests to speak
about his goal against Wigan to the press.
There is something appealing about Owen's "me against the world" attitude. It's a feeling we so
frequently feel against the FA and the press. He became a bit of a laughing stock at Newcastle,
something I certainly enjoyed, so it is understandable he wants to stick his fingers up at everyone
now he's a Manchester United player.

Patrice Evra, who never fails to impress when he is interviewed, has had a few words with MUTV
about a variety of topics, and again does a great job of it.
"It's a privilege to play for Manchester United and I try and enjoy every moment at this
club," he said. "When you pull on the shirt you also pull on the history that comes with
it and you need to do that history proud and respect what's come before.

It's amazing what a difference a year makes. Last summer, the majority of summer friendlies
involving Premier League teams were televised live on Setanta US. This summer, though, Setanta US
has shown zero friendlies and the majority of games have been aired by either Fox Soccer Channel,
GolTV and ESPN360.

Michael Owen, former Kop legend, is now officially a MANCHESTER UNITED player. Sir Alex Ferguson is
a genius and this is definitely his shrewdest signing ever. Michael Owen will earn a basic wage of
£30,000 a week, with the rest of his salary dependent on appearances and goals.-The Independent
That money is hardly going making a dent in Manchester United's wage structure.

Michael Owen has spoken with MUTV about his shock at signing for Manchester United. He also
acknowledges that he didn't have the best spell at Newcastle but reckons he can restart his career
with us.
"It feels great. I never even had it in my wildest dreams really but then I got the call
from the manager to come and meet him," said Owen.

Bracketed with the best Manchester United talents such as Eric Cantona and George Best. And, of
course, there were the goals, 117 of them in 289 appearances for United. Nobody should doubt his
ability or impact in his 6 years at the Old Trafford."Cristiano has been a marvellous player for

Cristiano Ronaldo has polarised opinions like few others before him - as a global icon his
popularity is matched by few other footballers (David Beckham comes to mind) and on the pitch he
dazzles and frustrates in equal measures. Unrealistic expectations? Unfulfilled ability?
What's certain is that he has been, over the last 3 years, the best player at Manchester United
and his impact in his 6 years at the Old Trafford is unquestionable.

The future of Arsenal TV is in the balance today as Setanta Sports (UK) went into administration
and ceased transmissions yesterday. Setanta finances the transponder space for Arsenal TV, whilst
Arsenal are responsible for the production of the programmes. Arsenal's revenue is generated from
the adverts sold on the channel.

With Setanta UK on the verge of going into administration after losing the TV rights to the
Premier League through 2013 in the UK as well as losing the TV rights to the Scottish Premier
League, the demise of Setanta UK looks certain. It may be days or hours before the plug is
pulled.
The big question is what will happen to Setanta US?

Setanta Sports is in financial crisis. Setanta failed to pay the SPL £3million last week and
are locked in talks with their financiers to extract a minimum £50 million that they need to carry
on operating.
So what I hear you ask?
Well Setanta Sports is the platform, on which Arsenal TV is broadcast.

11am – After failing in my quest to get a good night's rest the night before, I spent the
morning zombified thanks mainly to the hypnotic waffling of Paddy Crerand on MUTV. After a wash and
an egg (though maybe not in that order) I got in the cab and headed for Heathrow Terminal 5.

Simon from Leicester is now officially a new personal hero. He didn't call MUTV to discuss last
night's game, he called in to compliment Gary Pallister on the size - or supposed size - of his
package (much to Paul Parker's shock and dismay). Who, besides Pallister apparently, has the balls
to do that?
