USSF TOA decision
It has been widely reported that the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) will be meeting this
weekend in Seattle, Washington to make a decision concerning the breakaway TOA league and their
request for a new 2nd division league in the US. Of course parties from the USSF and Major League
Soccer (MSL) (who are often one and the same) will be in Seattle for the MLS Cup final which takes
place on Sunday evening.

TORONTO - Pistolas FC Toronto made substantial additions to its tournament roster for next
Saturday's Toronto-Mississauga Cup.
The biggest news splash came when the team inked 2007 MVP Eddy Meguerian, who had missed this
entire year with a knee injury suffered in 2008. Eddy confirmed late Friday that he would play in
the tourney, which immediately boosted the teams chances of competing at the highest levels.

TORONTO - Entering this season there were plenty of prospects - rookies - new to Pistolas FC and
looking to make their mark. Some big expectations were expected from them all.
Earlier in the season, a poll was held where fans voted on who they thought felt the most of this
pressure. Between Eckleton's brother Sam, former high school star Frank, MSL Superdraft picks
Stefan and Conrad, former Celtic FC player Jules, former CFL player Rob Pikula, and rugby playing
Colin, there were 7 rookies in total; only one can win.

Selangor v Persib 2-0 (Bambang Pamungkas 2)
Dunno how true it is mind...two first half goals by Indonesian striker, guesting for his former
club, gave the hosts yet another trophy in a bumper season for them.
Oh the delicious irony. A Malaysian club side defeats an Indonesian club side with two goals from
an Indonesian icon who is synonymous with the Indonesian side's bitterest rivals, Persija.

Forget it Bambang and Elie Aiboy.
Any plans the Indonesian duo had for playing in Malaysia next season have been dashed by the FA who
have said no foreigners will be playing in the MSL for season 2009/2010. The reason given was
nothing to do with Michael Jackson or H1N1 but rather the financial crisis.

An Indonesian website has linked Persija striker Bambang Pamungkas with Malaysian side Selangor.
Even though the MSL has prohibited foreign players for this season. But does that ban apply also to
the Malaysia Cup?
Bambang has a successful spell with the Red Giants a few years back scoring 40 goals in one season.

Kelantan, who are running low on moral and resources following the suspension of their home venue
at the Sultan Mohd IV Stadium in Kota Baru, may be forced to withdraw from the ongoing Malaysian
Super League (MSL) by next month.
Kelantan FA (Kafa) president Tan Sri Annuar Musa said at a post-match conference yesterday that the
punishment meted out by the FA of Malaysia (FAM) last month had left them with not much
alternatives but to consider "pulling out" as one of the options.
