TFC training camp opens this week and it would be great to feel that anticipation for a new season
rising in one's heart. New season, new faces would be a great motto for TFC to adopt. Toronto
certainly seems to have roster spots available.
In the month of January we have spent more time waving goodbye than waving hello.
1. Well that was just the kind of performance we needed following the devastating result in
Basel this week. We passed the ball around well and at long last put away a good number of the
chances we created. Only Swansea have a worse away record than Wolves though and after playing
them, it is obvious why.
The Montreal Impact unveiled their MLS jersey Thursday night, taking the latest step in the run up
to their expansion season.
The primary, blue kit comes with matching blue shorts and is a pretty typical MLS shirt --
sponsor across the front, team crest by the heart, three stripes down either sleeve and MLS and
country flag patches on the sleeves as well.
There were rumors of this last week. Today the signing becomes official though as the Seattle
Sounders have added Bryan Meredith to their roster. The rookie goalkeeper had an extraordinary year
with the Kitsap Pumas and it seems his eternal battle with Josh Ford will continue.
Their training camp battle went to the final moments and I would not be surprised to see either
one as the 2nd keeper for any given game.
Why Alberto Aquilani is helping to bring down the Euro and the BBC need a new Fergie

Sometimes football can shine a light on a baffling world. And make you laugh out loud. We know
where the world economy is going and we know that one of the worst hit economies in Europe is
Italy's, which is teetering on the brink of going down the pan.
Less than stellar finishing.

Sometimes interviewing professional players is tough. Ego's, timing and personalities can make
things difficult. However recently I had the opportunity to speak with Nick Rimando of
RealSaltLake. It was an absolute pleasure. We discussed the team's ups and downs as well as his
thoughts on the future and even the fan base in Utah.
The Montreal Impact won't be undergoing a complete rebranding upon their inclusion into MLS next
season, but between the renovated Stade Saputo and the club's new crest, the club will be sporting
a different look than the NASL version currently has.
The Impact unveiled their new logo on Saturday night, revealing a sleek, upgraded design and one
that pays homage to the province of Quebec with a motto stressing that unity is necessary for
victory.
We're taking a brief break from our lengthy (and, let's face it, exhausting) series of
Premier League previews for a couple of days in order to bring you some round-ups on the state of
the Football League, prior to its kick-off this weekend. Rob Freeman will be bringing you our (or,
if they're hopelessly inaccurate, "his") predictions for the coming season over the next three
days, but first of all here's a brief synopsis of the state of play as League Two prepares to gird
its loins for the new season.
If the United States Men's National Team (USMNT) wins against Mexico tomorrow night, one
Philadelphia Union fan will have an added bonus to seeing the USA defeat its most hated rival.
Allie Sullivan entered into Nike's #WeAreIndivisible Twitter Contest, which began on June 3, by
submitting multiple tweets through the #WeAreIndivisible hashtag.
We're a little behind the times here at the Arsenal Offside, as we navigate the choppy
transitional waters from The Martin/Sairax era to The Largely Unknown Jackasses era.
But finally, nine days after the fact, we have a post about the new Arsenal
kit/shirts/jerseys/unis/whatever you prefer to call them.
Looks like the windows could do with a clean Get your panic in early before prices rise has always
been my motto as a hardened Tottenham fan. But it does seem to me that this season is taking on a
make or break aspect which makes the transfer window even more crucial than usual. Of course every
season has the capacity to be a desperate plunge into the depths of a relegation fight or a rocket

In an interview with German press agency DPA, Argentinian FIFA ExCo member Julio Grandona
started by pissing and whining about the relentless attacks on 'the FIFA family' by the English
media, denied being glad-handed by the Qatar 2022 team in return for his vote and then went on to
implicate himself in perhaps the largest-scale bribe ever to have taken place within the governing
body's corridors of power:
"Yes, I voted for Qatar, because a vote for the US (who were beaten by Qatar in the race to host
the 2022 finals) would be like a vote for England and that is not possible.
If he said it once, he said it a million times over the years. The motto for Sir Alex Ferguson has
always been ‘PATIENCE' and he has been proven right more often than not. Manchester United
could...

This follows the launch of the United States Men's national team's latest shirt on Friday morning.
According the the U.S. Soccer website: CHICAGO (March 25, 2011) – "Indivisible" has been chosen
as the motto for the U.
The United States Soccer Federation has revealed a new uniform and a new motto to go with it:
"Indivisible." The single world slogan is the product of a "crowd sourcing" campaign, in which fans
were encouraged to submit their ideas to team-sponsor Nike. Dubbed "Red All Over," the project
created a lot of buzz and raised a big question: Why would the USSF want to replace the old motto,
"Don't Tread on Me"?
When the United States men's national team takes to the field against Argentina, it will mark
the debut of the squad's third kit.
The red jersey is part of U.S. Soccer's #RedAllOver Twitter campaign, in which the federation
asked fans to submit a new inspirational motto. The winning submission will be embroidered on the
sleeves of the jerseys that Landon Donovan & Co.
Didier Deschamps is banking on the feverish backing of the Stade Vélodrome crowd to give
Marseille a valuable edge in the first leg of their tie against Manchester United, a club the coach
describes as "an example to follow". The visitors have a number of injury problems for the trip to
France but Sir Alex Ferguson is confident in their ability to cope as his team begin a testing
run.
