Ex-Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse has been targeted by racist morons on twitter after moving from
Lazio to QPR. Cisse is the latest in a long-line of players to be bombarded with racist abuse on
Twitter, a site that does absolutely nothing proactive to stop anonymous idiots from engaging in
all kinds of online bullying and abuse.

Ex-Premier League referee and Rangers supporter Jeff Winter has had his personal website
suspended after several of his blogs (posted during a Christmas trip to Australia and New Zealand)
containing incredibly offensive anti-Catholic jibes were circulated by journalists including Gab
Marcotti on Twitter yesterday.
Liverpool's failure to come down on Luis Suarez's well documented racial abuse of Patrice Evra
seems to have emboldened a LFC fan or a few fans to heap the same on Oldham's Tom Adayemi in their
FA Cup fixture. The right back was visibly upset and had to be calmed down by Steven Gerrard, his
team mates, and the referee.
Mirror: The Adeyemi incident is what you get when you summon the full forces of
tribalism
There is no pleasure in saying this, but Liverpool have begun to reap a little of what they have
sown. New Liverpool racism row: Fan's abuse has Oldham player in tears When you defend racist
language, when you enter into angry denial and summon the full forces of tribalism, this is what
you get.

It may well be the season to be jolly, but after reading a list of Tweets highlighted by
TalkSport presenter Stan Collymore, it's hard to keep in a positive frame of mind.
The former Liverpool player has been receiving a large amount of abuse for his views on the Luis
Suarez racism affair, which he has been re-Tweeting along with racist abuse by various morons aimed
at Patrice Evra.
I admit that I'm not the biggest fan of the English national team (Terry, Cole, Rooney... do I
need to go on?), but yesterday's win over Spain was stunning. The performance was far from
beautiful but at the end of the day, Fabio Capello and his side, which was missing many
stars, were able to get the job done, beating the world champions at Wembley Stadium.
Why Napoli knife thugs must be stopped before City visit
A fortnight ago I wrote that the only way vile chants were going to end was if managers disowned
their own morons. So well done Alex Ferguson for telling those Manchester United fans who travelled
to Anfield intent on singing Hillsborough chants to keep it shut.
I've been thinking about Newcastle United's membership policy on away matches. Now, I'm sure you
remember our first match of pre-season, where a few morons decided to invade the pitch at
Darlington, inciting trouble between both sets of fans. If you can't remember what I'm referring
to, check out Thump's piece from July, when United [.
Since the dawn of the internet era, there has probably never been a time where there was so much
unrest among Arsenal fans. Not only has there been criticism of players, coaches, and ownership,
but fans have gotten rather testy with each other. And we've certainly seen our share of that
lately on this website, so I thought I'd devote a blog to that topic today.
I call you a plankton who only sings when we are winning, and cries like a 3 year old
girl when things go against us.
One thing has always set apart proper genuine football fans, from all teams around the
world, that I have personally come across in all the many years I have been a fan of the game is a
spirit, a belief.
I am hearing a lot of criticism of the police as the dust settles in the wake of the recent riots.
This strikes me as particularly knee-jerk and opportunistic. I saw a lot of scary scenes from the
comfort of my front room and I saw a lot of people's lives being torn apart by thugs and criminals
and mindless morons but the one thing I didn't see was police lounging round doing nothing.
They signed him in Winter transfer window... back in 2009.
Yup him, the little, frustrating, Russian winger who would prefer to play the central free role
behind the main striker. With Ryo and Gervinho set to slug it out with Theo to claim the Wingman
spots, and with Cesc and Nasri both doing one before the transfer window closes, Arshavin may
finally get his chance to claim the role he covets so much.
I have this vision of reporters sitting around sports desks in the UK, drawing straws for who has
to go cover the Febregas to Barcelona story. Sympathetic colleagues offer the unlucky reporter
promises of after-work pints, and the editor reminds everyone there that if you get this beat for
one day, you won't have to cover it again for at least a month.
Remember Victor Estupinan promising he would get thirty goals this year for Chivas USA? Well, right
now he's twenty-nine short.
Oh, wait, my bad - I was reading the wrong column. He has one shot on goal so far.
Well, if he is gonna break the league scoring record for Chivas USA, he's going to have to do it
this year, because today the club announced that it would get rid of him this year.
Life is strange; I have just sat and watched the budget and our elected representatives in their
place of work. There they were, the guardians of our votes and futures, seemingly incapable of
listening to each other. Argue oh yes, quoting the figures and highlighting the same points,
anything that apportions blame as directed by the spin-doctors who briefed them.
First things first, I'm not attacking the Chronicle. They are doing the best they can monitoring
the comments posted by users on their website, but sadly more than a few idiots still manage to get
their misguided nonsense through. I mentioned in a previous post that there was some racism (which
is fairly typical when it comes to soccer) but now there some sexism and more typical anti-soccer
rhetoric.
Arsene Wenger has talked a lot about tackling. Invariably the discussion gets hijacked by
clueless hacks and pundits who convert that into an Arsenal V Rest of the League debate and take
pride in highlighting one or two poor tackles by Arsenal players.
According to a number of morons who have the privilege of influencing public opinion, Arsenal
are just as bad as any other team when it comes to tackling.
