Not here: the moon looks fine and still. No, today has been a good day for hearing Creedence
(twice, in fact) so here, it being Friday, is some music. And here, it being me, is Juliana
Hatfield, singing some Creedence. Everyone's a winner!
Green moon rising Roberto Mancini chose his pre-match interview with the BBC ahead of tonight's
Carling Cup semi-final against Liverpool as the moment to demonstrate his new nostril-shaped hair
gel dispenser. There you go, Michael Owen: a free supply of hair gel.
Singaporeans love business school speak, even when it makes no sense at all. That's not the point.
It makes them sound all grown up and modern. Take this piece of drivel...
"There is a high intangible value to this deal and StarHub has taken a holistic approach that is
not just about cash,"
How the hell could you paraphrase that?
Arsene Wenger was more relieved than over-the-moon after Arsenal's late winner against Aston Villa
yesterday. Wenger admitted that he knew it would be a diificult game at Villa Park as it always has
been historically. He said: "You go to City and then to Villa and I have to give fantastic credit
to my players, [.
Nicolas Anelka will soon be playing professional soccer in China. This is surprising because
Nicolas Anelka is still a talented, effective soccer player who would help all but about 10 teams
in the world. This is not surprising because Nicolas Anelka is going to a place where they'll pay
him an exponent of a number it'd take me years to count to.
The U.S. WNT's second training session on Friday included some stunning scenery in the form of a
blood red sunset in Southern California.
The moon was also out, and settles nicely on the top of The Home Depot Center during goalkeeper
training...
Speaking of the moon, as Hope Solo comes for a cross in the pic below, can you figure out which is
the ball, which is a light and which is the moon?
Arse-TE Football stadium TV studios are always a prime target for cheeky supporters, but it is
usually the fans seated directly behind the studio who indulge in this behaviour. Not this Republic

the RTE studio during [.

Jordan Henderson wants to focus on beating West Brom in the Premier League on Saturday rather than

Los Blancos received their complimentary Audi cars (you know they'd rather get a

Merseyside derby hero Andy Carroll dedicated his Goodison Park strike to everyone who has stood by
him during his short time at Liverpool.
The £35million striker scored the crucial opening goal against city rivals Everton on Saturday,
his first in the Premier League since April.
The former Newcastle forward has only scored four times in total in all competitions since his big
money move in January
However, he hopes his derby strike can kick-start his season and wanted to thank those who have
backed him over the past few months.
On we go, with a visit from old friend Juan Mata and Chelsea, a club we have a recent history
with.
It's the Champions League! The goose bump-inducing song, the pomp and circumstance!
Today, I'm re-directing you to a post I wrote for our friends at Forza Futbol.

I was privileged enough to be featured in the Evening Star this weekend, as their 'Star
Fan' for the game at Blackpool.
Could've picked a better weekend...!The difficulty being any comment I could think to make felt like I was repeating myself from all
but one of the games we've already played.
Champions League draw reaction: Fergie's over the moon but all four Prem sides should
progress
Sir Alex Ferguson was texting in delight as Manchester United were handed the closest thing to a
walkover into the knock-out stages with a Group C draw that looks a formality.

Bringing you the most ridiculous moon-sized trophy since 1991 Figured I'd be a little early on this
guy since, y'know, I think it may be a big deal somewhere. Of note: the US is 7-1-1 against El Tri
on US soil in the history of the rivalry. The one loss is the 2009 final, which still sticks in the
craw of a number of fans who watched a B side (arguably a C side) face Mexico in a Gold Cup final

Which is precisely why this free kick somewhere in the general North American region is so damn
effective.
No, not a soul on the planet has any idea what is going on. At first look, it seems some odd
onside kick routine the American football field does wonders to push the theories in this direction
but then collisions happen, someone leaks into the box and everybody is distracted into allowing
him a free look on goal.
Fly Me To The Moon European Football Weekends headed north to Middlesbrough this week to interview

Newcastle United have announced the signing of former Swansea frontman Shefki Kuqi on a
short-term deal until the end of the season.
Kuqi will now go straight into Newcastle's squad for Saturday's Premier League trip to Blackburn
(one of his 12 former clubs) to provide bare-bones cover for Nile Ranger, Peter Lovenkrands and
Leon Best.
