Football in America has taken a long time to flourish and yet we still face issues today that
hold soccer back from flourishing and becoming a part of the American culture. These issues that
football faces in America is focuses primarily on marketing issues and money issues that the MLS
(Major League Soccer) faces due to lack of attendance in the stands and the lack of competition
that the MLS has to offer.
Don't these fans deserve better?
Now I am starting to get why St. Louis has been passed over for expansion into Major League
Soccer these last couple years. We knew going into the rounds of expansion the one thing hurting
the bid was the money side. Apparently the money is being drained from their current teams in the
USSF Division II and on the ladies side of things in the WPS.
Yesterday Mr Dimitar Ivanov Berbatov was 29 years young.
Its a good age for a modern footballer. The age where you are at your technically best. Yes, you
may not we 21 anymore, but physically you are normally perfectly balanced with your mental
attributes. Its what managers like to describe as 'at their peak'
However, for Dimi its quite possibly the age that will convince Sir Alex to bin him.
This word is just out from the KC Star, that Wizards midfielder, Stephane Auvray will be missing
10-14 days as he is having arthroscopic knee surgery on his right knee. Auvray had missed last
week's 2-2 draw with Chicago due to knee pain and will now look to remedy it with a quick surgery.
If he has the surgery tomorrow, and it does take 10 to 14 days for him to return than he's only
likely to miss the Columbus and Salt Lake games.

that still has about 18 months left on it. He stated:
"I met with David Gill last week and he did not give me any of the assurances I was seeking
about the future squad.
