Jones is reportedly under investigation by the German Football Federation for allegedly stepping on an opposing player's injured foot on purpose during Schalke's 3-1 loss to Borussia Monchengladbach in the German Cup Round of 16 on Wednesday.

Its good to be back. After taking in two matches around this time last year in North-Rhine Westphalia involving Borussia Monchengladbach and Rot Weiss Oberhausen we just couldn't get enough of the wonderful world that is German football.

Michael Bradley is officially out of team limbo.

According to Bradley's agent, Ron Waxman, the 24-year-old U.S. international midfielder has completed his move from Borussia Monchengladbach to Chievo Verona, ending a frustrating spell on the sidelines and beginning a new chapter in his club career.

It's no secret that United States midfielder Michael Bradley has been seeking a new club, but it appears that if that search goes fruitless, he won't have a place with the team at which he is currently under contract.

Borussia Monchengladbach coach Lucien Favre reportedly stated that Bradley wants to leave and is not in the club's plans at all, and, according to reports out of Germany, he has the backing of the club's sporting director, meaning that should Bradley be unable to secure a transfer, he won't participate with the team despite being under contract with the Bundesliga outfit through June.

The 2011 Women's World Cup begins on the 26th of June at the Rhein-Neckar-Arena in Sinsheim, and it is appropriate that, with the tournament returning to Europe for the first time since 1995, it should be held in Germany. The Germans have won six of the last seven European Championships as well as the last two World Cups, and there has been a women's Bundesliga since 1990, which began its life as two regional divisions in 1990 before becoming a national league in 1997.

A report by German's RP Online states that US midfielder Michael Bradley's option has been picked up by Aston Villa, ending his tenure at Borussia Monchengladbach.

With a vote of confidence from Villa's 2nd in command Gary McAllister at the end of the campaign and the departure of Nigel Reo-Coker even more so, Bradley's likely destination appeared to be Villa for some time now.

New president of AS Roma, Boston-based Thomas DiBenedetto, is making changes at his new club.

Reports abound say that DiBenedetto will appoint Walter Sabatini as the new sporting director, and after that, he is apparently turning his attention to bringing an American star over to Italy.

After a humiliating 8-1 defeat at the hands of Bayern Munich last weekend, FC St. Pauli's drop to the second tier of German football was confirmed. A horrid run of ten games has seen the club gain only a single point, and any hopes of a miracle escape were crushed by the rampant Bavarians.

With all of the midweek action going on, especially in domestic cup competitions, it seems like this is a good week to bring back the scoreboard/schedule feature. The highlights of the week all seem to take place on Wednesday when Real Madrid and Barcelona play in the finals of the Copa del Rey, Benfica and Porto face off in the semifinals of the Taça da Portugal and Real Salt Lake and Monterrey begin their two-leg CONCACAF Champions League final.
