After Grayson – A new dawning for our club? A solid 3-0 win for caretaker manager Redfearn at

Harry Redknapp maintained an bank account in Monaco into which Portsmouth's then owner, Milan

Morning all, the dust has begun to settle a bit after Sunday's game against Swansea. We now have
a week to take stock, regroup and prepare ourselves for the game against United on Sunday.

He's back.
One of the greatest players in the history of the Premier League and a man identifiable with one
club despite playing for multiple (don't forget Monaco and Juve too), he's going back 'round for

he left big time Europe for American pastures.

Monaco aren't exactly basking in rude health at the moment, languishing down at the arse-end of
the French second tier following their relegation from Ligue 1 last season though Marama Vahirua's
sublime volleyed goal against Le Mans (to equalise with just five minutes left to play) on Saturday
certainly provided a brief distraction from the club's ongoing woes.
Being one of Arsenal's late arrivals this summer, Korean, Park Chu-Young is pretty much the only
player who haven't feature in the premier league as just yet, the ex- Monaco player seems close in
getting that experience after impressing Arsene Wenger on Tuesday.
Playing in the Carling Cup against Bolton Wanderers, Chu Young not only managed to score the
Gunners' winning goal but also looked very lively and linking up well with his teammates.
Andrey Arshavin found himself to be the centre of attention in Arsenal's Carling Cup win over
Bolton scoring the equalizer and then setting up Park Chu-Young's first goal since his move from
Monaco in the summer. Some nice finishing there. Fabrice Muamba, an Arsenal academy product opened
Bolton's account after Emmanuel Frimpong coughed up the ball.
It seems that Arsene Wenger has finally remembered signing Park Chu-Young in August, the Korean
looking set to start in the Carling Cup against Bolton on Tuesday. Despite having been signed for
the Gunners for a reported £4 million from Monaco, the striker has been given just one appearance
by Wenger.
Arsenal's Park Chu-Young, who only joined the club at the end of the transfer window, has
confirmed he will have no option but to leave the club in two years time to do national
service.

September 1996 marked the arrival of the man who changed English football forever, all the
science and technology that surrounds every club these days is 100% down to Wenger's original ideas
and methods.
Fergie may have more silverware.... but he has not implemented and introduced methods which the
entire league have picked up and copied.

Distinguished French journalist Julien Laurens has described Arsenal's recent signing Park Chu
Young as an extremely intelligent player who is poised to grow further significantly under the
guidance of Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.
Laurens, representing Le Parisien, spoke highly of Park throughout a candid interview
at Arsenal's official website, insisting that the South Korea skipper will adapt quickly to the
challenges of the Premier League, having become Monaco's best player within a short period of time
before moving to the Emirates.
Yesterday was something of a rarity a transfer deadline day with not only action, but action of
the spectacular kind. Of course it was required, but few of us actually believed that significant
numbers would come through the door. I said earlier in the week that we needed three players, at a
minimum a centre back, a creative central midfielder and a striker.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has followed up his recent announcement about the prospective arrival
of three new players at the club by making a quick move for Monaco striker Park Chu-Young.
The 26-year old Park, who is the captain of the South Korea national team, was set to leave his
French Ligue 2 outfit to join Lille in the French top flight but the Gunners swooped for his
services before that deal could be finalized.
