There was no surprise because there couldn't have been one. This is the level of the Polish national team currently and the sooner we realize that the less frustrated we'll be. No miracle was on the cards as six of our starters were from the Ekstraklasa, a league that doesn't even have its representative in the Euro Cup group round (Moldova has, Austria has four).

Why am I writing a post about Octoberfest in early September? Because I love Octoberfest, but I hate it's name. Its moniker inherently limits the celebration to only 31 days. I think it should be known as Everydayfest or at least Fallfest. But Octoberfest it is, and it's a great month.

Setanta US has announced their schedule for the next few months of World Cup qualifying games it'll be showing on its networks for both Setanta US, Setanta Premium (the pub channel) and pay-per-view.

No major surprises. As usual, the England away match (this time, against Ukraine on October 10th) will only be available on Setanta Premium.
