Needless to say, it is very sad what happened in Egypt earlier this week.
A league match pitting rivals Al-Masry and Al-Ahly at Port Said turned tragic when 73 fans were
killed when violence broke out after Al-Masry 3-1 win.
No doubt you've already seen the horrendous footage of Al Masry fans storming the pitch to attack

whistle of an Egyptian Premier League game between Al-Masry and Al-Ahly.
"This is not football. This is a war and people are dying in front of us. There is no movement

television channel.

Wigan gave yet another fine example of how not to defend in their 3-1 home defeat at the hands
of Bolton.
Defensive errors were central to the home side's defeat yet again, with Bolton, a side hardly on

FIFA has finally punished someone in a corruption case.
No, really, the previously unthinkable happened on Saturday after FIFA banned Mohamed Bin Hammam
from soccer for life for attempting to bribe voters in the FIFA Presidential Election.
The decision wasn't really a surprise, and Bin Hammam took no part in the proceeding, skipping
the Friday hearing to discuss the charges against him.
The FIFA Ethics Committee formally found Mohamed Bin Hammam guilty in a votes for bribes scandal on
Saturday, receiving a lifetime ban and ending his association with world soccer. Bin Hammam was the
president of the Asian Football Confederation and a FIFA presidential candidate. He stood accused
of trading cash for presidential votes at a meeting of the Caribbean Football Union.
